I was thinking about using this online banking website but I wanted to know if it's reliable first. Does it cost any money to transfer money from one bank to another or switch banks?

I heard that it might be closing and I was thinking of opening a savings account there. If I put all my money in savings there and it closes, will my money be safe or will I lose it?
WAMU is just like any other bank it has an FDIC insurance which mean your deposit is insured by the full faith and credit of the US government for up to $100,000. which mean if WAMU files for bankruptcy the government will hav an obligation to pay you out of the FDIC fund (which is some where in the neighborhood of 52 billion dollars).
I forgot my ATM card PIN number.. Is there a way that I can have it sent to my email address or something online to get my password? Also I recently ordered a debit card about two weeks ago.. is there a way I can track it online? Thank you...
If you forgot your PIN the only way to get a new one is to call customer service and ask them to send you a new one in the mail(yes, snail mail)
If you need your online password you can click on forgot my password link... but if you are still refering to your PIN, you can't get it online.
There is no way to track your debit card online, if you ordered it and it has been 7-10 business days you need to call customer service and let them know, they will have to send you another one.
what type of overdraft ? If your checking account is overdrawn they will take it out of any deposit you make. If you don't plan on making a deposit and you just want to bring your account positive you have to make a deposit to the account.
If it is another bank or a nonwamu overdraft you need to pay you can use online bill pay to send fund to the other bank or you can use an external account transfer(both are NOT immediate) . You can also use external account transfer to transfer funds TO your wamu account from another bank. If you need help with that call 1-800-788-700 and choose the option for PERSONAL online banking.
Click the "forgot your password?" link below the login. It will ask you for your username and email address. The password will be sent to you.
Once you login you can click on "Edit my Login and Password" and change your password.
Should I Download The .Iif Or .Qbo File For Quickbooks For Mac ...
Since Chase took over WaMu, I have to chose between an .iif or .qbo file to download my transactions. Which should I choose? (I don't want a complicated explanation of the file types, I just want to do the same thing I've always done with WaMu).
I also miss another feature of WaMu's website: it indicated the last download date. Does anyone know how I can easily determine my last online banking download?
I'd be leery of the IIF file. If it's not formatted perfectly for QB for Mac, it could do data damage (or so I understand).
Do you have a business checking account, or are you using a personal account? I see that "Washington Mutual Business Banking" and "Washington Mutual Card Services" are the only ones listed in the list of online-banking financial institutions.
