Credit Card Debt

Personal Banking Online Citibank

Answers

Attn: Personal Bankers or Banking Personnel?

I just applied for a checking account online with Citibank and everything went smoothly over the phone (chexsystems verification, my info, etc) Afterwards they told me I'll recieve a "Welcome Package" which I thought would be sending me all my account info, however they said it still needs to go thru an "approval process" before I actually get my account open

What does the approval process consist of? What other info are they verifing, and what are my chances? I thought banks just verified chexsystems and you were ok.

I know I'll have to send in proof of all my info that was given over the phone which isn't a problem.

They are making sure you arent a victim of identity theft, and that you are really who you say you are. Rest easy knowing they are doing their job covering YOUR backside....

cash advance from the citi credit card?

have to take cash advance from husband's credit card to transfer to my personal bank account. I have all the info it needs. Online banking can not help. I need to do it without him knowing. I called both - my bank and citibank, they send me one to enother. How to solve?

If the card is under his name, you won't be able to do it unless you have the PIN and go to an ATM.
He will find out in the end so maybe just sit down and talk to him about this.

Which is Bank is the best Bank?

I want to open a personal checking and savings account...Which one of all the popular banks out there is the best one for this? and why?
Bank of America? WaMu? Citibank? Suntrust? Wachovia? Chase?
Help please! I don't want to screw this up!
Please share good or bad experiences with costumer service (if you want).
Best credit cards? Best savings plan? Most amount of locations? Benefits? Best online banking website? e.t.c
Thank you in advance!

I have banked at Wamu, Key Bank, and Wellsfargo. I have found that Wellsfargo and Key Bank have high fees for their savings and checking accounts unless you have very high balances, which I don't. I do like Wellsfargo for my student loans, car loan and line of credit though.

I really like Wamu I have a checking account their that they charge no fees for whatsoever they also give you free checks for life. (Key charged me $25!!!) My savings account also has no fees and has a amazing rate of 3.75%. They give you 1 free overdraft a year incase of an oops and $.04 back at the end of the year for every debit or credit transaction you make. I made like $32 this year.

I love Wamu!
