Online Banking Review

My b/f of 2 just proposed to me and also gave me his online banking password to review his spending habits...is this a good sign?
I did ask him for the account information and he quickly gave it to me with no aprehention

I'd say that's a damn good sign. He wants you to know that you can trust him in every aspect of his behavior. If everything else in your relationship is that good, then marry him quick. You've got a winner and a keeper. Trust. ';-)

I've been looking at moving my savings and checking away from Chase Bank. As I have started looking at bank reviews, some of the best I've seen are for online banks (those without physical bank locations) such as Ally, Schwab Bank, and ING Direct. I rarely ever step foot inside a bank (my paychecks are already direct deposited). In fact, I cannot remember the last time... maybe a few months ago to deposit checks from family members.

What are the pros and cons? Is it worth it?

In order to use the online banks, you have to have a standard bank to deposit your money to and from. I would open an account with a local bank/credit union, and use that bank to initially deposit to ING Direct, then switch your work's direct deposit to ING for future deposits. ING Direct has great rates on their savings account (currently 1.15%, .75% better than my credit union), and has a great checking account program as well, with a network of thousands of ATMs (the fees are refunded).

I ordered fix-it a few weeks back and a couple days ago I was reviewing my online bank account and noticed that I was charged twice for the same product! I called the numbers they have on their website but the calls are all automated and they don't give me an option to speak with a representative! If anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated!

Where can I go to post a review of a horrible online shopping experience?

I had a very unpleasant shopping experience when attempting to buy a bracelet online. The company will NOT reply to my emails or respond to me. They called my home and talked to my son - gave him an earful to the point he hung up the phone - and said they would refund my money but it would depend on my bank as to how long it would take. My acct was debited the second week of May - They will not contact me and I'm feeling so frustrated. Where can I go to post my tale of woe and get rid of this feeling?

What does it mean when it says DEBIT/HOLD on my online banking account review?

You initiated a transaction with a merchant and they placed a hold on the funds in your account so that the money will be there when they try to get paid.
