this for a marketing research project i am doing for my final year.
I'm curious to know your results, if you think of it email me when you are finished. I work at a bank now and handle all of the online marketing and website promotions. Is age a factor?? I happen to love online banking and honestly the convenience of being able to jump online anytime and see all of my accounts and transfer funds is priceless. I am short on time (as everyone is) so if I didn't work at a bank I don't think I would actually ever go in one since I can handle everything online and at an ATM. I know how secure it really is and I feel confident 99% of the time. Good Luck!!
Latest research from Google on how Australian's Research and purchase retail banking products online.
She (the caller from the marketing company) said that I would receive $200 for the 20min phone interview, then if selected $100 for a second phone interview or $200 if selected for an in-home interview---this was a 1-in-6 chance. She said that their "client" who would be reveiled during the surveys would not be trying to sell me anything, but to try out their online banking tools and then comment on them.
What I thought was strange was she didn't identify what market research company she was with, how she got my number, and what company/client they were gathering information for. [she did say that it would be "reveiled" during the interviews]
I decided to pass on this, but is this legit? She call me from (503) 281-5015.
This does not sound legit to Me. A good rule of thumb is, NEVER give out ANY financial info, such as Your bank acct, # , or social security # over the phone.
Research for ICT Coursework (Y12). Any in-depth answers would be well appreciated. I would then change it into my own words and adapt it for my work, showing print screens of Yahoo answers and your reply. Thankyou in advance!
Well with my bank I don't think the security can be improved anymore than it is already.
When I log on to it, there is a picture that is displayed that I have chosen so I know that I am on the correct site. Also I have set a phrase that they know that is only me who has logged on which is a Police radio communications one from 50 years ago.
Also one security question is my place of birth. Geographically it no longer exists, so the only person who knows that is me and the bank as all my close living relatives are now dead!
So I would say that my online banking is pretty safe.
I have been researching online bank savings accounts because of the interest being at 5% per month, I would like to how safe these online banks are. The two I have been considering are fnbodirect.com and direct.citibank.com Any information or knowledge you have on this would be wonderful before I apply. Everything is done online and is connected to your checking or savings account you already have.
I've used ING for years and have no problem with them. It's totally on line and linked to my checking account. I think they're safe as long as you know who you're dealing with. Check the banks you are considering out and make sure they are legitimate banks. Both of the ones you mentioned are so I don't think you'll have a problem.
I just want a account with:
- no min balance
- no annual fee
-not a insane overdraft fee
-online banking
-no transfer fee
or any other annoying things banks do that i cant think of
im serious guys i don't want to have to drive to every bank to figure out what you get when you open a account
yes i would call but they are closed now
A smaller bank will definitely have something that fits your needs. Bigger banks will usually come with the minimum balance requirements and all that junk. To actually open the account you'll need a government issued photo id and your social security number (not necessarily the actual card). They might also ask for email and other contact info. Try google searching "community bank" and the city you live in.
