I'm looking for a bank in Dallas, Texas that offers:
1) Great interest rates for idle cash $50-99K that sits in a liquid money market fund...waiting for the next investment opportunity.
2) Provides online banking access to my account on a daily basis.
3) Provides competitive fees or free international wire transfer
if sufficient cash in kept in the account.
Check out the finance forum on Fatwallet. They regularly post high interest rate deals for funds throughout the nation.
A commercial I made for century bank of the Ozarks.
I purchased two money orders on 03/01/2007. One for Chevron credit bank and the other one for Sprint pcs. I mailed both of them at the post office on 03/02/2007 aound 9a.m. I logged onto my Chevron account and they received my payment on 03/05/2007 (Concord, CA). Sprint on the other hand hasnt posted yet. It was sent to Dallas, TX. I cant believe 7 days later and no payment.
I called Sprint this morning and asked how long does it takes and the rep told me 7-10 days. I told her if my money order wasnt there by my due date of 03/12/2007 I was going to pay online and report the money order stolen. I have a gut feeling they are holding my payment to add late charges, but NOT Im too smart for that, I'll just pay online when the 12th gets here.
The reason I sent a money order is because I am trying despartely to get my credit cards down.
It depends on when the post office delivers it. Also, when you're paying by check or money order, a human at Sprint has to open all the envelopes that come in with payments and physically post them to all the thousands of accounts that pay by mail. Processing time can take time. The good news is that they date stamp all that mail the day it comes in so they will post it as of the date they received it, not the date that someone physically types the info in to your account.
I understand wanting to get your credit cards paid down and that's definitely a good thing. However, when you pay a bill, like Sprint, on line, using a credit card, it posts to your account immediately so you don't have to worry about whether it got there on time or not.
If you were normally going to send your credit card company $50 for payment that month and you were going to buy a $50 money order to pay sprint, pay the sprint bill with your credit card and send the credit card company $100. You won't be adding to your credit card debt that way and will save yourself the cost of the money order and won't have to worry about it getting there on time.
I don't have a Chevron Card but I would imagine they have an on-line payment too. You can set it up to be deducted from your checking account, at least that's the way most credit card payments work if you're paying on line.
I can't remember the last time I bought a stamp. I pay everything on line these days.
I hired this girl Lisa about a month ago to write copies for my website. I am in Dallas, TX and she lives in Florida. I gave a $700+ project paid her 50% in advance as deposit. After 3 weeks, she doesn't deliver the copies I had asked her to write. She stop replying my email, ignores my voice mail, and avoids my phone calls. When I got a hold of her in one out of 100 phone calls, she claim she finished the copies but the text files I had her write was too big to be sent out via Email. Text file too big to sent out via email? What a joke. I tried to trust her and ask her to email to me again and of course, I still didn't get any of her work. I am pretty sure now that she's a fraud now because there's no reason why she couldn't call me back, or respond my email. If her claim of completing the task were true, she would have called back to verify if I have actually received it
What are the actions I can take against her? I have her name, social security number (from w-9), your full address with apartment #150, her phone number, email address. I don't want scum like her to get away with this.
I have asked Lisa to refund my deposit which she ignores again. What can I do and how?
evidence I have
- W-9
- Invoice she sent me
- Non-disclosure agreement which she signed
- copies of check she cashed from online banking
- Emails we had
I found her on the internet
SUE her. Plain and simple; and since you did not state where you found her, I can't advise what to do about the way you found her.

to return to court on the day of the hearing.
Ok. I just made a withdrawal form the atm. At first I asked for 260 dollars. The money didn't come out. a receipt came out and said that the transaction couldn't be posted. so i tried again and entered 200 dollars first and then 80 dollars and got the money in separate transactions. But now my online bank statement list the first transaction that wasn't processed as "pending" and then above that reads "Pending Misc. Credit ATM CREDIT 18320 PRESTON RD DALLAS TX $260.00" What does this mean? cuz the 260 is under the credit category. Will the money still be there? Please try and answer this question as best as posibble. Best Answer will be given to the most accurate and helpful answer.
relax your ok. The pending with drawl and pending credit are the same thing ie they are canceling each other out.
Well, my car is about to bite the dust so I am in the search for a "new" one. I am going to have to get a loan for the first time. I have noticed that a lot of dealerships have a pre-qualification form you can fill out on their web sites. Do you have to have good credit to qualify for these loans, and if you do qualify and use the dealership's finance dept., does it work for you or against you?
Also, I have noticed that you can apply online for loans has anyone done that? How did it work out?
Also considering going through my bank.
I would really like to hear about your car buying experiences good and bad. I am going to have to buy one (I hate buying cars! They always seem way over priced) the area of the meroplex that we live it pretty much makes having a car mandatory. I will definitely consider that if I move again.
In the mean time though I would be grateful for any advice or experience y'all have to offer.
