Your buyer would have to go to a bank in the Philippines and perform a "wire transfer". You will have to supply him with the following information:
- your name and address and telephone number
- your bank's name and address and telephone number
- your bank's Swift or BIC code
- your bank's CHIPS or ABA routing number
- your bank account number
Unfortunately, wire transfers take anywhere from 2 to 5 business days to complete. I have done some wire transfers between the USA and Canada.
If you prefer not to give out that much personal information, do a money transfer using PAYPAL. Although PayPal is primarily used for purchases and sales on eBay, it is not limited to just eBay. PayPal money transfers take less than 1 day to complete. Click on the link below for more information.

But it hasnt come through? I realise it is christmas, but surely electronic transfers are still available? Or are they on holiday aswell? We are both with lloyds if that helps and have never had this problem before?
There is the faster payment scheme in place in the UK which should mean that the recipient should get the funds within 2 hours. However, it depends how he sent this and from which bank account. The faster payment scheme doesn't normally work form Savings to another recipients bank account if he did it from there. I think the call centre's may be open so get him to give them a call to check. It may be that you won't get the funds cleared until next week.

My friend has a bank account with HSBC and needs to transfer some money over to my Natwest bank account. How long would it take to clear? I think they're doing it tomorrow via online banking system, would I get the money by the weekend do you think? I have done bank transfers before between 2 Natwest accounts and the monies showed up more or less straight away. I was just wondering if it were different when it's from one bank to another named bank? Thanks
My experience when doing external transfers from one bank to another bank online is that it took about 3 business days for everything to clear. I would hope it would be faster than that when you are dealing with an online only bank such as HSBC, but its hard to say

I don't know if it a transfer between banks or a bank and a institution .
If it between banks you can get the " swift code " of the bank to transfer your funds and give an intimation to your bank to transfer the sum . It takes about 3-4 days for the entire transfer . Note that the exchange commission would be deducted from your sum , so provide funds to cushion that .
If it between the bank and a institution u can open a intermediate account in pay-pal or moneybookers and transfer the sum from there .
