I know HSBC online banking allows money transfers internationally and you can choose whether for the sender or the recipient to pay for the transfer fees. Does anyone know if any other bank's online banking allows international transfer too?
It depends on the country ( have its own regulations on FX control) , Bank ( at which you are having account), currency value and purpose etc:
Now it's easy to make fast, convenient and secure international payments online and manage your Foreign Currency accounts quickly and cost ...
I am moving out of US soon. I have a few 401k plans maintained by different institutions (since every new employer starts a new 401k and I had a few employers), a few investment accounts (e-trade, scottrade, etc), a checking/savings account from Bank of America, etc.
Since I am moving out of US, I want to consolidate all these to a single provider so I can deal with just one bank as opposed to multiple banks. Bank of America appeared to be a good choice since they can handle 401ks, investments, checking/savings, but it appears that they do not support online international wire transfers, which is a deal breaker for me. I'd like to be able to move money in and out of the account online.
Anybody have suggestions as to what bank I should use? I'd prefer a bank with a retail presence in Massachusetts but that wouldn't be a deal breaker.
Thanks
Try Citizens Bank or Citibank. I would stay away from BOA. It will be very hard to find a bank in Massachusetts that allows you to do wire transfers over their "Intranet" website. I know a lot of European banks do it but I am not sure about American Banks. Unfortunately, if your account is established as a personal account, you will have but no choice to physically go into a branch to have the transfer done.
Another option is to have a money transfer agreement set up with your local branch (for whichever bank you use). I know for a fact that Cambridge Trust Company accepts faxes from their customers to do wires. But you need to have an account with them # 1 and # 2 you need to fill out a money transfer agreement. Then you can fax away. - But use this bank if you are in the Boston area. Otherwise, Citizens Bank is your best bet.

I am moving to Rota, Spain from America - and I would like to get a bank account that I will be able to use in Spain, but also still be able to receive income in American dollars from my job back in the states. Can anyone recommend any good international and/or online banks? Or any to stay away from?
I do not have a large balance - so high savings interest rates are irrelevant to me. I'm looking for something with low or no fees, and a good customer satisfaction ratio.
Use ING they offer both online and savings account with no fees and minimums to use there services they also have high interest rates. Also there online checking account will be using ATM cards on the allpoint network which is now expanding internationally.
If you interested in opening and ING direct savings I can refer you an you can get a $25 bonus with an opening deposit of $250. Anything less will not get the bonus. I hope this helps and good luck with the moving process.
I was thinking about opening up an account with ING direct or SalemFive but it's not possible with them to transfer money online to Europe.
Is there a bank out there that does that?
Try Charles Schwab. Its been very good for me. You'll have to ask about the international transfers, however.

Investment Banking » Blog Archive » Why Obama Should Legalize ...
President Obama should in fact legalize online gambling for numerous reasons. The first and most important one is that by prohibiting it, Americans who have the means to still gamble amidst the prohibition are doing so by using illegal internet casinos, some of which are used by Al Qaeda to launder money, and foment terrorism growth and operations. The other major reason is that the economy will benefit as billions in taxes will be generated from this regulation, not to mention thousands of jobs. The economy is in its worse shape this generation has seen on a global basis. The credit crisis has hit so hard, that even former FED chair Alan Greenspan has come out to say he was wrong about certain...
