3. The temperature range for a week was between 14 degrees F and 77 degrees F. Find the temperature range in Celsius degrees. F= 9/5 C + 32.


4. Heritage National Bank offers two different checking accounts. The first charges $3 per month and $ .50 per check after the first 10 checks. The second account charges $8 per month with unlimited check writing. How many checks can be written per month if the first account is to be less expensive than the second account?

5. Find four consecutive integers whose sum is between 62 and 78.

1. 5(x - 2) > 2x/3;
15(x -2) > 2x;
15x - 30 > 2x;
13x > 30;
x > 2.3.
The smallest integer where x > 2.3 is true would be 3.

2. $23.90 > $4.95 + $2.50x;
$18.95 > $2.50x;
7.58 > x.
The largest integer where 7.58 > x is true would be 7 hours.

3. 14 °F = -10 °C;
77 °F = 25 °C.

4. $3 + $0.5x < $8;
$0.5x < $5;
x < 10.
The largest integer where x < 10 is true would be 9 checks.

5. The sum of four consecutive integers, starting with the smallest defined as x, would be

Doing the first inequality,
