Checking Banking Online

I am trying to move money from my savings to checking account online, but it won't let me do it. It's all under my name and I am 18, will it allow me to do it if I call the bank in the morning?

The account might be set up for you and not set up for you to access the money. If the account is set up in your name you may still need parent consent. If you set this account up all on your own, assuming that you have the money in savings, you will need to call the bank. Can't tell you what the bank will say in the morning.

You have them do it FOR you, because they have to verify that YOU own the account...

It was a deposit directly from Bank of America, which is headquartered in Charlotte NC. BofA has several bonuses you could have been receiving. For example, Keep the Change bonus goes into your account at the one year anniversary of you starting it. Or Refer-a-friend bonus goes in after the friend has the account open for 90 days. Several other accounts have bonuses paid to you after they have been open for six months. If the payment was $25 I'd say it was refer-a-friend, if it was paid into your savings account I'd say it was Keep the Change. But there are more promotions that take 3-6 months to apply to your account, maybe you just forgot about it. At least it was a payment to you!

if you mean basic online banking (online bill pay, transfer funds, etc.), yes you can.
