Closing Statement plus conformation that the Account is closed and you have NO further liability ..
It is not unknown for banks to accept (or impose) charges against a closed account (cheques, direct debits, credit cards, fees, interest etc) days, weeks, months later .... and then demand that you pay up (or threaten to send the debt collectors in)...
So it's vital to get that statement (showing zero balance) and confirmation that the account is closed ..

Well, the first thing you are going to need is an actual bank account. Because you will need that to make a paypal account where you can store and transfer funds.
After you get a bank account I think you will have to have your routing # to your account so you can create your paypal account.
If you are just trying to make a paypal account where you can pay for stuff all you really need is a credit card as your primary funding source.
So go to www.paypal.com and sign up for an account. Once you are done I think somewhere it has an option to add funding sources. I'm not particularly sure. =/ Hoped this helped.

I would like something to keep our emergency fund in that is liquid. Though I wouldn't be opposed to CD laddering or a similar situation. I also want to make sure it is a large and reputable company... FDIC insured for CDs and other accounts... and hopefully ranked on Bankrate.com. I just can't find many that accept business accounts for all the others which only take personal banking business.
The best ones are the ones your bank offers, actually. All banks who have on-line services have these.

“I’m interested in how I can get my money back from the bank because it’s not my fault,” Pravin Bakliwal told local media after he lost a reported AED121,000 from his bank account last year. Bakliwal lost virtually his entire Mashreq bank balance when internet fraudsters made repeated debits to his account of AED500 and AED1,000 – leaving him with a grand total of about $38. “They’re telling me I revealed my internet password, so they won’t pay anything,” the man was quoted as saying.
Mr. Bakliwal was not alone. Scores of Mashreq customers were victimized last year in a phishing raid that defrauded bank clients out of tens of thousands of dollars.
Following the highly-publicized scam, the bank released a statement, reported in local media, that said investigations “proved that Mashreq’s security systems were not at fault.”
