sometimes it takes an hour other time with other banks up to 5 days ...
is barclays one of the quick ones ?
It takes the same time as any other bank.
What about it? I have been doing it for about 6 years and find it okay!
It was announced today that Barclays Bank has made a profit over the last year of £7 billion!
Given that this bank has a record of offering very low rates of interest on its current accounts and hits its customers hard with extremely punitive charges I would like to ask any customers of this bank why they continue to use it?
Is it because they feel safer storing their money in a well established bank as opposed to one of the newer internet banks, or is it just because they are too lazy to move their money elsewhere?
I stoozed £1k into their current account for a £400 free od, free travel insurance, and a free Villa shirt! It was an offer for the first year, closed the a/c when the offer was up!
When they muck up their offers like that, hammer them for all they're worth. I like Barclays for that...
I just want to buy a ticket on Internet for a flight which cost around 550 pounds, and i was wondering if Barclays Bank would allow me to do it, and if it's not too much for them.
I'm in London, and i have the money of course.
And it's a basic bank account, i don't pay anything; it's written Connect on the card.
Thanks
there's no limit on internet purchases with a debit card, as long as you actually have the money in your account

Take a look at your retail or consumer banking website or homepage. I can 100% guarantee that regardless of who you are, and in what market you are in that I know exactly which part of the site is clicked on most. Contact us? Nope. Press Releases – definitely not. The biggest Ad banner on the homepage? Nope…
Figured it out. Well the headline gives it away. It is the . In developed economies click-thru rate from the bank homepage can be as high as 97% of traffic that visits the homepage, and in developing markets it still hovers around 70-75% generally.
The thing is that in most cases banks spend a considerable amount of money each year trying to entice new customers to apply online or to send in their details so someone in the mortgages team, call centre, preferred banking or private banking team can reach out to them. Acquisition must be a key metric of any direct channel team today. However, in most cases the visitors to your homepage are existing customers. Thus, 70-95% of daily traffic is being channelled immediately from the homepage to the secure internet banking website behind the login.
