Cancelling an overdraft online via RBS?

Hiya,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to cancel an overdraft using the digital banking RBS system?
It's very easy to request or extend your overdraft but for some annoying reason it's impossible to find how to cancel it.
I don't have time to go in to the branch because I'm at work all day; and i don't fancy sending a letter because I'd have to put my bank details etc in that....any ideas?

Thank u :D
Thanks :) For some reason when I go to request overdraft it says my account isn't one that can have an overdraft...! So phoning it is :) Thanks for answering :)

What is the sort code for the RBS branch in Lincoln?

I'm trying to log into online banking
I know this is in the wrong section but I don't really care as long as I get some answers

Yes you are in Lincoln cars, but anyway, the sort code for the Lincoln branch of RBS at 13 Stonebow Centre is 16-23-32.

A direct debit is scheduled to leave my account on 1st August 2009 which is a Saturday.?

When will the money leave my account? It looks as thought it has already gone but I cant get a mini statement and dont have online banking where I am. (I bank with RBS)

Thanks

It will leave at midnight sun/mon. It looks like it has left your account as the bank has allocated that money for the DD, but does not come off until the next working day.

Car, Loan, Bank, Credit Report help... really down!!?

Hello,

So, I'm looking to go and buy my first car, so I applied to my bank (RBS) online for a loan to buy my car. They have declined me...

I do have two catalogues that I pay every single week.

I struggled at Christmas, to keep up with a few payments to my catalogues.. so it got a bit on top of me, but I was honest, phoned them up and they arranged a lighter payment plan for me.

Now I hear that the bank has declined me cos my credit rating is too low... and the reason must be the fact I have this payment plan to my name.

I'm raging.... I don't know what else to do. I don't want to get a cheap second hand run about for a car, cos everyone I know who has done that, regretted it... I really wanted to buy my car from a proper car dealer.

Anyone any advice?

Also, anyone any advice on where I could see my credit report for totally FREE... without giving my card details to them..!?

freecreditreport.hotusa.org - try this service to boost you credit score before getting loan. After credit repair you can get the loan with minimal interest rate.

bank charges on benefit?

Hi
my story goes, i changed over my bank details with sky digital to my new account i just opened, with only just reactivating sky after being with someone else they said they would snd me letters of confirmation, i didnt recieve these letters or any bills or dates to be deducted. RBS online banking do not show new DD's until the first has been paid so i had no idea when the first payment would be due as i was still waiting for the letters from sky.
I then find out they tried to take it but the money wasnt there, i immediately rang both bank and sky to find out what was going on, the bank told me they were gonna charge me £38 for the £17.50 that wasnt in the bank (unpaid item fee). this to me is not fair as i had no clue when the money would be taken and still waiting for the letters of new dd confirmation.
i rang the bank last week to find out when these charges would be taken, being a lone parent on income support i worked out i could not afford the 38 but found a way to sacrifice something to pay it.
they told me they could not see anything that was charged or applied to my account then and right up until next months statement date there wasnt anything to show on my account that they were gonna deduct charges. I even asked the woman over and over is she sure and she said yes she was sure and nothing was going to be taken.
so ok, i reach today, short on money, short on food, nappies, gas, electric, etc so i said yesterday rite, child benefit goes in tomorrow which is £46 so we will be fine.
I goes online to check if its in and what do you know, they have taken £38 and left me with £8.
Is this right? a huge mix up with sky has made me and my children suffer.
i am in uk so if anyone can help answering this i would be greatly appreciated.
And yes, i can afford £17.50 a month for my childrens rewards for when they are good they watch the cartoons, the problem i am talking about is that the day sky tried to take the payment, my income support & tax Credits were due to be paid into my account the NEXT day. This bill could have been paid the following day and i would have known the money wouldnt be in the bank the day before if i had recieved a simple statement.
an obviously many tax payers are not single parents with 3 children and trying to get their own businesses off the ground!

Hi go to citizens advice.
Good Luck
