Hi All,
I had applied for home based jobs and got a reply for a interview setup on yahoo messenger. Today i gave a online interview and they said that i am recriuted but they asked me to setup an account in wells fargo bank. Some days earlier same happend to me some another company asked me to setup acc in wellsfargo. Can anyone tell me what is the relation between wellsfargo and these home based companies. IS it fraud ? what shud i do?
THIS IS A SCAM!!!! They will want you to put money in it and they'll steal it!!
Sadly, virtually all of the 'work at home online' jobs are frauds!!!
They'll want you to use some of your own money to start the job, or to purchase the "rights" to do it, or to buy the materials. It's all a scam.
Years ago, the big scam was stuffing envelopes at home. You'd buy the materials, and you'd get paid for putting information into envelopes and mailing them. But they wouldn't pay you so you'd get stuck with the materials and also the mailing costs which are HUGE.
Also you'd have to do so many to get paid, that you couldn't match the requirements.
People have been cheated for thousands of years, and with modern computers, it makes it all much easier. If these jobs were real, there'd be hundreds of thousands of housewives doing it, to earn a few extra bucks for the household, while the kids were at school or napping.
Anytime, a job wants you to use your own money to start, it's a scam!! The connection with Wells Fargo is not real. It's nothing to do with Wells Fargo. Their requirements for transferring money may make it easier for them to take your money, or else it's because Wells Fargo is in almost every city.
The only way you can be safe with an online job is to get a job from a local company like real estate or a law office, and they don't mind you doing the work at home. You've got a real office there you can see and got to if needed.
Otherwise, never ever try those scams. None of them are any good.
Please be careful.

Bank of West, Wells Fargo or US Bank of California.... they are the banks close to me that are options for me. I do not want to do biz with Chase or BofA... they hold my 2nd Investingment home I am trying to Short Sale.... Thanks for any advice! I am looking for best price, best online experience, best inperson banking experience, best charges/fees for anything extra.... Thanks!
Wells Fargo is better than the rest you listed, rates are the most competitive.
I was wondering if anyone has had issues with Wells Fargo making mistakes in their personal checking accounts. I have had a lot of issues from them charging my account two to three times for the same transaction. Before you tell me I need to make sure that I need to be more careful with my finances and it may have been my fault for the error, banks do not usually send out apology letters for account holders making the mistake. The first letter I had ever received was back in 2000, I hung on to that because I thought WOW a bank that is concerned enough to apologize for their mistakes. Over the next four to five years I had received at least 3 more of these letters because someone made an entry mistake on my account. Around late 2006 to early 2007 the sending out the letter of apology quit and they went militant. In September 2007 it happened again with a debit card. Instead of crediting my account they actually ran three debits through twice each. It took forty five days for me to recover MOST of the overdraft fees.
The other issue I want to know if anyone has had, when I moved from my hometown to a different town 100 miles away I called the Wells Fargo tele-banker to update my home address the last day of the cycle, they said they would update that right away and just in case I did not get my statement I could have it also delivered to my online account to view. I did that and well I did receive my statement in Dec around the 11th of that month but did not receive any of the other mailing from Wells Fargo. I have the email that was sent that day to confirm my address change but they never changed my address.
I'm surprised that the phone banker did not tell you they could not do any changes of address within the last 5 days of your cycle. If he had tried to do it the system would not have allowed it. What the phone banker should have done, was after he attempted to change your address and couldn't .He was supposed to call you and tell you
he couldn't change your address and mark his calendar so when
the system would allow him to change your address's he would do so then. The phone bankers have such a turn over, you probably got a lazy or new banker. With mistakes like these, I would definitely change banks.
My income is not large, but have excellent credit and will pay 20% down. I've been "pre-approved" but am looking for the best deal, and was wondering if anyone had an amazing referral to somplace I've missed. I've looked into Ditech, eloan, Wells Fargo, and a local broker, and will contact ING Direct too. Any other suggestions of banks, online lenders, etc. would be marvelous, though preferably not individual brokers at this time.
I'm just trying to get the best deal with the few pennies I earn, so I'll be financially happy when I move into my new home.
Thanks!
It all depends on wht you mean by "best deal". Do you mean best interest rate, lowest closing costs, best service, most ethical loan officer?
The best deal for you may not be the best deal for someone else and vice versa.
Quit shopping for the wrong thing and find an individual with whom you can develop a lifelong home ownership relationship, someone who will look our for your best interests, educate you on all of your options so that you can choose the one that best meets your needs, and helps you achieve your goals.
And, for heaven's sake, be wise enough to stay away from the loan shark feeding frenzy questions like your's draw.
We have to go with something national since we're going to be full-time RV'ing with my husband's job. These are the only two national banks with branches in our home city. It looks like Wells Fargo has more branches in the locations we're likely to be in. Our current bank only has branches in one state so we need to switch. We'll need to do online bill pay too but other than that we don't need a lot of extras. Anyone had both and have a preference?
Chase does not have a branch in our hometown.
Try Chase
