What's the average salary of a bank teller??

Hi guys..
anyone can tell me what the average salary of a bank teller is in melbourne?? I mean having no previous experience.... and what the career path can be as a bank teller??

I have just graduated in accounting... I did the master conversion course as i didn't do accounting in my bachelor... been looking for job for nearly 6 months... still can't find one...

i m kind of frustrated... it's quite hard to get a job... tried internet, agent, consultant... but still can't get one... most of them require experience....
Why's it different from the common thought that accounting is in demand in Australia?? If they don't train people, where do the experienced people come from??

i m suffering.... HELP~!! pls~!

First and foremost, do not worry. You should use your time and energy to focus on being positive.

Next, you must realize finding the right job takes time. It is something you have to work hard at. If you just graduated take this time to go to your college or university and ask the Career Services Department to assist in your job search.

Also be mindful that it is very competitive these days. Having a degree may not put your resume to the top of the pile because there are so many others looking for the same job as you.

If you want to acquire experience, think about working with temp agencies. They can help you find employment. Since the assignment may be short-term this can give you the experience factor you need to obtain a job.

Also be persistent, Make a schedule to set a time to regularly submit your resume daily. And follow up with each job lead you receive.

Networking is an excellent tool to find job leads as well.

Be creative and have fun doing it! It will make a world of a difference if you can think of ways to get your foot in the door. And if you have fun doing it things won't seem so mundane.

This took some digging to find. The median hourly rate for a Bank Teller for 1-4 years in Australia is $13.54 per hour. The info that I found did not list anything for entry-level experience. But you can use the data contained in this link as a guide for the future.

Check out the link: http://www.payscale.com/research/AU/Job= Bank_Teller/Hourly_Rate

I have tried these methods I have given you and they have worked wonders. I have been in the field of HR for 6 years and I give this type of info to people on a daily basis. It is amazing how simplistic and effective these techniques have helped others.

I hope this info was helpful to you.

Best of luck with your job search. Be encouraged and don't worry your dream job will come very soon!

God Bless.....

Any cheap weights around melbourne? 2nd hand is fine too.?

Hey guys i was thinking of getting some weights and after some internet searches they are freaking expansive. Are there any places where weighs ie. Dumbells and barbells are sorta of at a reasonable price. i dont want to break the bank just to buy weights. I live in Australia, Melbourne.. Any help would be appreciated. 2nd hand is fine too.

Tks
Hey guys tks for the input any idea which gym i should go for. And should i be going to a gym im only 14 years old,

tks

Weights are expensive if you get a decent set including cable weights, benches, barbells and dumbbells.

I think you would be better off joining the gym. I find i am much more motivated to workout when i am surrounded by people excercising. At the gym you see people doing many different excersies and this gives you ideas on new techniques to add to your workout. The quality and amount of equipment is much better than anything you could setup in your garage. The place i go to allows me to visit any of their different branches, keeping it interesting. Maybe join for a month just as a trial to see if you like it??

Any other ideas on how to see footy in television here in America?

BigPond.com.au does not work on the internet outside of Australia. Setanta sports is virtually non-existant on satellite television if you can even receive it or your bank account can afford it. YouTube only is a 3-4 minute highlight scheme. My cable provider (Cox) says Channel 7, 9, 10 Melbourne feeds are not available in America. Any ideas on how to see footy here in America? Being a Geelong member, it would be nice to see the Catters play once in a while and maybe see the GF if Geelong would make it. I haven't seen an AFL game since the 2005 GF, haven't been to Oz to see a live match since 2003 (I have been to 30 AFL matches in my lifetime). I enjoy the radio calls on afl.com.au, but it isn't television. Help!!!!! I want my footy!!!!!

I don't know if this will help, but try contacting USAFL. Their website is www.usfooty.com. Phone # is 262-740-1353
email: officemanager@usfooty.com

They claim that their games are on local stations and the web. I know this is a poor substitute, but it might be a place to start. Maybe they might have an answer. They also have a Links page.

Also try www.afana.com
www.mhznetworks.org
Fox Sports Net (FSN) used to show a one hour highlight show, but I haven't seen it for a while.

Good luck.

WHICH BANK IN AUSTRALIA PROVIDES GOOD SERVICE, EASY FIND ATM AND ...

I have been with the commonwealth for years and they are fine. Their fees are about the same as all the other major banks, but their internet banking facilities are the best I have ever used.

Customer service generally is good – you can also bank at any post office or branch which is handy – and when dealing with them on the phone, alot of their operations are based in Sydney and Hobart, so typically you do not get a heavy accented caller to deal with.

ive tryed them all, a home loan with the commonwealth, buisness account with advanced/stgeorge, state, anz, westpac, the one i have now is the cheapest for fees has a great web site, with a security token that gives you a number so its more secure online and its the bendigo, atms are scarce but you can get a low cost debit card so you dont need cash all the time, i have 5 accounts costing me $13 a month.
