Has anyone received emails from different banks stating your online account has been frozen?

I have received 3 different emails from 3 different banks stating that they noticed questionable activity on my bank card and froze my online account. I need to log in and verify my information and the problem will be taken care of. I got one from Bank of America, Wells Fargo and the third one I cant remember. However, I have never banked with these people, nor do I even have a bank account at this time. Has anyone come across this problem?

Its a scam, someone is trying to get your information so they can steal from you. Best advise, just delete them, don't respond, and for sure don't give them any information at all..~

The Truth leaks out... THE BANKS ARE ROBBING YOU AND ARE IN FACT BANKRUPT! ... "The Market Ticker" Banks "Foreclosure Hearing&quot ...

What online banking services are available?

Can you answer these questions for each of these three banks?

Bank of America
UMB Financial Corporation
Mazuma Credit Union

What online banking services are available? Can you transfer money between your checking and savings accounts? Are there any fees for online banking activities?

BOA
Balance viewing for accounts
monthly bank statements viewing
view checks
transfer money between accounts and to other boa customers
order checkbooks
open accounts online
email customer service
pay bills
cancel checks
bank locations and phone numbers

There is no fees to use online banking. But there are some limits to transfering money and bill paying.

When you're using Bank of America Online Banking, do they charge you when you make an online payment?

In other words, are there hidden fees that I am NOT seeing on my list of transactions when I'm looking at my checking account activity? For instance, if they charged me $2.00 for every online check I wrote and got sent to an address using online banking, am I being charged under the table?

no they do not charge you!!!

Bank of America shut down my account for "Fradulent Activity" even though I reported everything to them.

Last week, I saw that there were large deposits made to my Bank of America Account via BAD CHECKS.(1 for $2900 and one for $2500), I also saw that my ATM card was being used while I was at work & I hadn't even realized it was missing as I don't use it every day. The bank suggested I file a police report. I did & called them with the report number, the police departments phone number and the officers name . I have spoken to their fraud department every day since last Thursday. I told them that the deposits were not mine. I told them that the purchases and ATM withdrawls were not mine and that I could prove it as the charges were taking place when I was at work. I went to log in online this morning to monitor my account & found out they revoked my online access. I called them and they told me they closed my account altogether for fradulent activity. WHAT? How can they do that when I reported EVERYTHING to them? They said after their investigation is complete I cannot bank with again

As a general rule they will freeze or close an account while doing investigation. however your entitle to your money you have in there (if it's a bank account).

2. the police report will back your story.

3. the items purchased were they online items?. you can challenge them if they are not delivered to your home address.
if they were store purcharses challenge the signature. (if by pin number you need to change your pin number asap someone stole your access number)

4. call the bank see how much is left then check your account records and make sure you didnt lose any money and close the account and reopen another.

Bank Of America Fraudulent Website?

While at the library I decided to check my bank account online.
I entered bankofamerica.com when something weird happen.

Usually you type in your Social Security Number then the state your in. After wards it should ask for you to answer a security question.

This did not happen.
Instead it asked for me to plug in my account number and a whole bunch of other personal information. Also at the bottom of the screen it said" this image is no longer in use by bank of america. This indicates fraudulent activity. Please close browser and visit Bankofamerica.com"

Im sure I typed the address in right.
Whats going on?
Now im scared that I entered my Social Security.

call BOA's 1800 number and ask them about this. There are lots of fraudulent bank websites out there loving to steal your personal info. If you are so scared about your SS#, do what I did. My house got broken into, and all my IDs with my ssn (including my ss card!) got stolen along with everything else. Call up Experian-Im sure there is a website and a 1800 number for them too- and place a fraud alert on your ssn. They send this alert to the other 2 credit reporters, Transfax and I forget the name of the other one. You just give them your ssn and info, and they place a 90 day watch on your ssn for any activity, like people who apply for credit cards and such with your number. They send you letters in the mail as proof of this alert(all 3 bureaus).
