Bank Austria Online Banking

Answers

I want to move to Austria; I have dual citizenship but I'm concerned w/how to keep up with my bills here?

I make most bill payments online and need to know how that could continue overseas and if deposits in Austrian banks can be transferred to U.S. banks. How does this work? I will most likely be near Innsbruck.

Yes don't worry Austria is as developed as the states, you can wire trans to your US bank without any probs. u just need to open a bank account at any bank.

Austrian Banknotes from the 18th Century?

I need pictures from online of money/currency/bank notes (whichever you prefer to call them) from AUSTRIA in the 17th CENTURY.

THANK YOU. :)

Austria was called Austria-Hungary at the time. There were multiple currencies from all of the smaller countries that they ate up which circulated along side the Kronen. Here's what I could find for you:

Fishing trip in Austria help please.?

Hi. I want to surprise my husband with a fishing trip to Austria in April. I have been looking at the packages and guides online. However, it is all for fly fishing. I don't think my husband fly fishes. His equipment is for normal fishing. What is just normal fishing called, so I know how to search on the web for it. He likes to sit in a boat or fish from the bank. Is this called kite fishing? I am confused.
He uses fishing tackle. He has 2 big boxes full of it.

fly fishing can be done from boat or bank ,as can most .i think you need to ask what kind of fish he tries to catch ,and if he uses fly or bait. there is no normal form of river or lake fishing just for different species. maybe you mean pike fishing, there is some pike fishing lakes in austria . just google austrian pike fishing holiday . good luck.

Buying Bullion Silver online (or even Gold)?

I live in Europe - Austria

I ve been wanting to buy silver bullion (whether coin or bars). However I don't know of shops here in Austria, and language is a barrier for me (They speak German, and I speak broken German). So, I'm wondering if there are any reputable banks in Europe (or stores) which sell these things online at not such a high premium for a small investor like me.

Thank you
OK..

I forgot to mention this ..
When I say about buying .. I also meant buying it physically and storing it my self physically. I dont want to store it somewhere. I want to see it. Hence that online store or a regular store or even a bank for that matter has to offer some type of shipment to me.
thanks

There is a company that will do all of this for you, but for gold, not silver.

IBAN, BIC or SWIFT?

Need to transfer my money from my account in Austria to my account with Bank of America.

Will I have to go and call up Bank of America or contact them online in order to obtain:
IBAN
BIC or SWIFT code
Bank Sorting code

???
Also, when it says the Name and Address of the consignee, does that mean my bank or myself? Will I have to use my local branch or will it be the main branch from BofA. Is the name the bank name?

American Banks (That includes BOA) Do NOT participate in the IBAN System. I wish these foreign banks would do their homework before burdening their customers with this.

The instructions you will need to give to your bank in Austria are as follows......

Swift Code: BOFAUS3N
Bank Name: Bank of America
Beneficiary Name
Beneficiary Address

There is no such thing as a Sorting Code for U.S. Banks either.

Trust me, this is all the information they will need to transfer funds via authenticated Swift Message.
