In other words, are there hidden fees that I am NOT seeing on my list of transactions when I'm looking at my checking account activity? For instance, if they charged me $2.00 for every online check I wrote and got sent to an address using online banking, am I being charged under the table?
no they do not charge you!!!

I am a minor and I was wondering if I could have my own online banking account for just my account. When I had bought something or need to know what my account balance is, I would ask my parents to check it using their online account. My checking account is tied to my parents because I am a minor, but is it possible for me to have my own online banking account so that I can check my balance and spendings by myself, without having my parent check it using their online banking account and without having any control or seeing their own accounts?
If you have a social security number, i think you can have your own account. Contracts with minors are voidable by the minor. That means that you can change your mind at any time ... which scares a bank. Go in and don't tell them your age and see if you can open an account. /

and don't tell me to call customer service, i already have several times.
Something I don't understand is that my account balance is never current. I make my payment 5 days before the due date, and my balance doesn't change... 2 weeks later, my balance increases, and the payment i made from my checking account while indicated by a -225 is not reflected in my credit card account s a +225.. what's up with that?
When you make a payment using online banking through BOA, the money comes out of your account the day you specify. Not when you submit the payment. So you have to keep that in mind when you set up your payments. You may think you have more money in your account than you actually do. The exception is if you are making a payment to a BOA credit card. That money will come out the same day unless you specify a different date and you will see it immediately online.
When we check our balance on line, it shows pending transactions and all. It will show that once all our transactions go through, our balance will be one thing. But once the transactions actually do go through, our balance is less. I don't get it. Whats up with this?
The online banking DOES show the math as if the pending transactions have already been subtracted.
Pending transactions show but are not deducted from the account balance. It's really pretty clear and straightforward. If you don't understand, go to a branch location and ask someone to explain it to you.

JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America Slap New Fees on Credit Card ...
As new provisions of the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 come into effect, JP Morgan Chase (NYSE: JPM) and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) have slapped new fees on their credit card customer base and are all but eliminating rewards programs.
JP Morgan Chase & Co is now charging a $30.00 fee to customers of its “Chase Freedom” card. Customers are given the option of paying the new $30.00 fee or switching to a no-annual fee card that has a rewards called “Ultimate Rewards” which is much less generous than what cardholders had received previously.
Both JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America have raised the fees that they charge on balance transfers. Before the Credit CARD act went fully into effect, most banks, including Chase and Bank of America, were charging their customers 3% of the balance as a balance transfer fee. Bank of America has raised their balance transfer fee to 4% and JP Morgan Chase have raised their balance transfer fee to 5%.
