Account Online Banking

I have an Alliance & Leicester online bank account, but I am currently filling out a form which requires me to write my bank branch address. There is no branch of Alliance & Leicester in my town, so shall I just put the address of my nearest branch, or is there a specific standard address for online accounts?

I closed my account at National City but I'm still getting emails from my online banking account and I would like to close that as well. But i can't figure out how to do it. Help please!

All of the banks that I've had accounts with have a special customer service just for their Website. You could contact the main bank or look on line and get this number. They can hel you.

I have an online banking account that recieves 5% APY and the Interest rate is 4.89%.

What exactly is APY, and what is the 5% used for. What is the interest rate per month? Do you just divide 4.89% by 12?

The APY is your Annual Percentage Yeild. The 5% means that you would earn 5% on your money annually. The interest compounds. So if you put in $1,000 on January 1st you would earn $50 of interest on that $1,000 for the year. The 4.89% is your effective interest rate. Since interest compounds you earn interest on your interest. You earn that 4.89% on your interest as well. Thats how the 5% and 4.89% come into play.

If i make a deposit to another account over the counter, will that transaction show up on my online banking account? how long until this transaction shows up? will it be immediate? do you know any banks who can do this?

different banks opperate differently. It's best to give your bank a call.

Ive messed up my whole online banking account and would like to start a fresh, Is this possible?

Starting a new account would be starting over, but it will not erase what has occurred on the current account. If the current account is overdrawn and/or fees were assessed, they will still be owed. And opening a new account with the same bank is probably not an option
