What is the difference between how a personal credit line works vs. a credit card?

Is it a good idea to pay off a credit card with a personal unsecured line of credit? Thanks.

A line of credit allows you to make purchases, usually through your bank account and then you will have to apy it back.
A credit cards allows you to make purchases with a credit limit and is usually through a company such as Citibank ... They are very similar though.

How does a business line of credit work, compared to personal line?

If I have bad personal credit can I use my businesses credit?

Usually personal and business credit are pretty much scrutinized at the same time, and if one or the other has a bad credit rating, you are pretty much out of luck. How you conduct your personal finances and business finances is considered a track record for both entities.

In order to finish my degree, should I take out a line of credit or work full time?

If I continue in school full time, I will finish my Bachelor of Social Work degree in 1 year. However, I currently have a student loan debt of $43,000. My first option is to take a $10,000 line of credit and continue in school full time, finishing in 1 year. My second option is to work full time at a job that earns $23/hour, but it will take 2 years to finish my degree. The job I can take is not related to social work, but it is a government job at a call centre. Here in BC, the average income of a starting social worker is about $44,000 (for full time work; not sure if this income is for social workers with a BSW and/or MSW). What would you do?

If you are sure of full time work in social work as soon as you finish your degree, my advice would be to try to finish in one year. If you are not certain of a job in social work upon graduation take the two year and smaller loan approach. I assume you are quite young? Take your time and enjoy life along the way.

What is the highest line of credit someone who has only been working for 3 months can get?

Depends on your past history and how much someone is willing to take a risk on you with. Also depends on how much equity they can Seize if need be.

can anyone explain to me how a line of credit works?

I want to get approved for 100k. If i take all 100k at once, what would be an estimated monthly payment? I know each bank is different with their rates im just looking for an estimate based off an average.

Bankrate.com has tools that you can plug the variables into to get an idea of what payments may be in regards to mortgage, auto, cd's, etc. in regards to rates, payments, etc.

There's not enough sufficient info to give you a flat at answer.

Hope this helps.

Bad Credit Loans Offer Last Line of Credit

Whether it involves remortgages, credit cards, car loans, college tuition, or just extra cash to help pay household expenses and stave off rising inflation, money is more difficult to come by and will be increasingly scarce as the year progresses explains Andy Hygate from www.loansbadcredit.org.uk

According to the Telegraph, lenders have an estimated £505bn of bad credit loan (sub-prime) liabilities on their books. To solve the problem, banks are offering to sell these damaged assets cut-price. But they are willing to lend investors the money to buy them. In other words, the banks are providing new debt for the old debt they no longer want. It does not take a degree from the London School of Economics to realise that such logic makes poor financial sense, and when banks throw good money against bad money, it is a sign that things are getting worse, not better.
