OSAP or TD Canada Trust Student Line of Credit?

I'm going to college next year, and I need some financial help, so I've been thinking of OSAP or a student line of credit. I know all the details about OSAP, their "forgiveness", not paying until after you graduate, etc. But the TD Canada Trust Student Line of credit is just as good. Here's the details for the line of credit:

* Pay no monthly or annual fees.
* Get a competitive interest rate, equal to TD Prime plus a variance rate. Good news: the variance rate doesn’t increase after you graduate!
* Withdraw any amount (up to your approved credit limit).
* Pay interest-only monthly payments for up to 12 months after your finish school.
* Enjoy low monthly payments after the interest-only grace period, with up to 20 years to repay.
* Access your money through Green Machine ABMs, Interac Direct Payment, EasyWeb Internet banking, EasyLine telephone banking, cheques and at any TD Canada Trust branch.

I don't want to get both OSAP and the line of credit, I just want one. With a line of credit, I'm guaranteed to get the money I need .. so should I use OSAP or TD's Student Line of Credit?

Find out what the variance is. For federal student loans it's prime + 2.5% and prime + 1% for Ontario loans. You can get it fixed or floating. The line of credit is usually for people who get rejected for OSAP because their parents are too rich. I've been paying back my OSAP for a year and their very reasonable. My payments have gone down to about $100/month from $150 because I made a large lump sum payment of $500 and the interest rates are low. Personally, I'd recommend OSAP because they're much more forgiving

Question regarding student line of credit. Please someone come up with a possible solution.?

I went in to apply for a student line of credit to TD but after looking at my profile they told me that my application would not be accepted but i insisted them to file it and at the end it was rejected. I am a full time postsecondary student but to get the student line of credit approved i was supposed to get a co-signer and as i am new to this city i coudnt get one. Now the situation is that i need the money from the line of credit in next week and i have no idea how to solve this co-signer problem. I know that every problem has a way around but i dont know how can i get this stuff done, but i am pretty sure that there are some tips n tricks for getting this loan approved without a co signer. Please somebody help me.

Student lines of credit ALWAYS require a co-signor. Reapply for a standard line of credit and you will not automatically require a co-signor but if you do not have a job, you will not get that either.

lol ya he is making good money but he doesnt have that kinda money on him right now.... we moved here and had to buy all new furniture and i had dental work done,.... i am going to the bank today i hope it all goes well

The problem is that the cost of tuition has risen considerably over the past ten to fifteen years or so and many students are finding it difficult to get the aid they need to attend their college of choice. Many students have either no credit or bad credit and need to find a credit worthy cosigner before they can secure any private student loans. If their parents don't have good credit then they are often left out in the rain wondering how they can come up with the remaining costs for attendance.

For this reason it is vital that you exhaust all of your student loan financing options before you decide to put off going to college completely. Many private student loan lenders will try and capitalize on your disposition by trying to lure you into their website so that you apply. They will say that they have private student loans for bad credit individuals, they will say that they have private student loans where no credit check is required, they will say that they can provide you with a private student loan without a cosigner.

The reality of these statements is quite bleak though, because the bottom line with private student loans is that they are a credit-based product and unless you have good credit, or your cosigner has good credit then there is little chance that you will be able to get approved for such financing. You may have heard that there are private student loan lenders that specialize in providing students with bad credit student loans but the reality is that these kinds of student loan lenders don't exist. You must either have good credit or your cosigner must have good credit or you will be denied, so if you are looking for this kind of financial aid then you are going to have to have either of these if you want to get approved.

I need help fixing my credit rating!?

I'm currently 20 years old, going on 21 in a few months. I have one and a half more years left on University, and over the past year i've seriously damaged my credit rating. This year of my program has been very difficult compared to the previous years, so i've worked alot less, therefore missed alot of credit card payments overtime.

I currently am $4000 in debt.
$450 on a TD Green Visa
$3000 on a TD Gold Select Visa

I've missed minimum payments at least 4 times on each card. Most recently i've missed a minimum payment three months in a row, but a few weeks ago I paid for all of those three missed payments at once, totalling almost $400.

I need legit help from any type of agency, etc. that will help me fix my credit and get back on track. As it stand now, I can't take out another student line of credit/loan, or student credit card, & I really need the student line. I can't even get approved with an A+ credit co-signer. I have a very good job now. I'm making $17/hour as a student in the hospital (I'm a Nursing student, working as a Nurse's Aide), compared to my job before making $10/hour, working 10-15 hours week. I just did too much damage prior to this, that I need to fix, and I can't wait the 6 months-a year, seeing as I need a student line.

What agencies or any type of government help is out there for me to look into?
I closed these accounts about 8 months ago myself, after they reached a certain amount I decided to cut them off because I was in school. The banks didn't close them, I did. Just thought i'd add that in.

There is no "agency", government or other wise.

Hint: You don't have a credit rating problem, you have a debt problem. You have debt and you aren't even paying the minimums.

A big part of being a grown up is fixing your own problems. So develop a plan and stick to it. Step one is cutting these cards into pieces. Step two is getting all of these accounts current.
