My credit card has 19.99% APR. Ridiculous. I have a perfect payment history and a large credit line. Are there certain credit cards that are known for having low APR? What should I do?
Thanks
You could call your credit card company to lower your interest rate
look up Citi Forward on google they start you out at 12.24% after the 6 month introductory 0%. And you can lower your interest by paying on time by 0.25% each 3 payments you make on time

I own a 1978 Mobile Home in a Mobile Home Park. It's worth $14,000. It's paid for. I have $13,000. in debt; I always make the min monthly payments or-- a little bit more. My debt is from credit cards. I don't have the cards anymore-- I only pay down my debt. I have Good credit. I have $700. in savings. I need to replace the water line in this home. The H2O is off because of the 3rd leak within 5 months. How can I pay for a new and cheap water line and still reduce my debt?

How come on a Personal line of credit loan you get charged an apr and a periodic finance charge? Why not just get a credit card then? I dont get it.. I know credit card rates are high now but most times you can find credit cards with lower rates then my line of credit. someone please tell me the positives of have a line of credit loan...
A "line of credit" is nothing more than a pre-negotiated, pre-approved loan. It has a maximum value you can draw. You have no charges until you actually USE some or all of the available funds. What you pay for this convenience is that there is no grace period as there is with a credit card and interest accrues immediately. Unlike a credit card, there is no "approval" process needed or required. You write a "check" against the line of credit and it is honored automatically since you are pre-approved. A line of credit is a fallback to other forms of loans. In essence, when someone calls your bank about your "check" they are informed by the bank that your check is equivalent to a certified check with the full backing of the bank behind it. What you are paying for with the interest and such is the convenience, pure and simple.
i pay my bill on time every month at first my credit line was 700 then they increased it to 1200 but i just called today for an extra 1000 but the lady said because of my income thats the most they can offer me but when they did increase it to 1200 i never asked it cause i was paying my bill on time but i thought because i was still paying everything on time they would increase more. is there another bank or credit card i can get with low APR and no annual fee and that helps build my credit.
and what makes it so bad was when i got the credit card i didn't even have a just period for like 8 months. to think i have one now they would increase it or should i go to the bank in person and try again.
You are doing the right thing, paying always on time!
so why not work with the bank - try to have your credit increase slowly. In a few months, ask again and perhaps you'll get 1,500.
Right now banks have tightened up considerably, due to the financial mess they have created by being more than liberal with credit.
Another way is to take a second job, which then allows you to show more income.
hi my wife and i had many opened credit scores with high APR we already payed all the amount s due for these cards.. i am trying to negotiate with them to lower their high APR (the average is between %24 for some cards to %14 for others) so the wquestion if they refuse to lower their APR or lower it to a non satisifed APR what i suppose to do ..can i close these credit cards and apply to another low APR cards with a good credit line or closing these credit card will effect our credit scores for my wife and i . or leave these credit score pending without any activities...and applied for new credit cards that give us a satisfactory APR.
Thanks
I would cancel all of the cards. Credit card companies are snakes. They make all the rules and can change the rules anytime they want.
Banks spend millions brainwashing people into thinking they need credit cards and a high I love debt score to make it in todays world. Not True!
Pay as you go and you will win with money.
Dont worship at the alter of the almighty fico score
These people that work in banks and do financing for a living are gonna tell you different
But,
Debt Free is Definitely the way to be!

0% APR credit licenses are an appealing selection for common consumers that rely on having a low monthly pursuit ratio when they cannot pay off the full equalize of the credit license in any month. But what you truly need to know about 0% APR credit license offers, regularly interval is never discussed.
For starters, the APR is the usually-worn acronym for “yearly Percentage speed,” which is the yearly month-to-month ratio that you can guess to get for your credit license equalize. artlessly, if you usually clutch your credit license equalize over from month-to-month, it is important for you to have a low or even 0% APR credit license.
