Line Of Credit Calculator

I was using the irs tax calculator and it says that we will get about 1800 back. On the calulator it ask to enter in the amount for Child tax credit from line 52. Well I do not have an amount there. However, I do have an "additional child tax credit" showing further down. Does this amount count also or no? If so that means I could get 2400 back. I am so confused and thinking I am aiming for the lower the two, but hope to be surprised and get the higher end.

If your child tax credit is zero, you didn't pay any tax, so your rebate is $300 for yourself and another $300 for your spouse if you filed a joint return, plus $300 for each child under age 17.

For the calculator, just put in the number (or zero) from the line it asks for.

I need it for a credit exam that has algebra, trig, and some calculus on it...

The Texas Instruments TI-30XIIS. I used it for all of my trig algebra and calc classes. It works awsome for trig functions, logs, fraction to decimal conversions, some probability, and exponential functions. It is only a 2 line calculator, so it won't graph. The best part is that you can get them for under $20 at most department stores.

I graphed a circle and a line that runs through the circle on my ti 83 graphing calculator. I need to find the distance of the part of the line that lies within the circle. So I tried to find the intersection points where the line hits the circle, so I would be able to use the distance formula to find these points. I tried to do this by using the 'intersection' function under "2nd...calc."

For the first curve, I used one side of the circle, and for the second curve, I used the other. Then I guessed at where the intersection would be, and my calculator came up with 'no sign chng.' It does this every time. What am I supposed to do? This is a take home quiz type thing and my teacher almost never gives partial credit. Oh, and the equations I used were as follows:
Y= squareroot(-x^2+225)
Y= -squareroot(-x^2+225)
Y= -1/4x+8
The first two make up both sides of the circle, and the third one is obviously the line.

You can't use both sides of the circle as first and second curve...they never intersect. Try using one side of the circle and the line, and if that doesn't work then use the other side of the circle and the line. Then go to the other end of the circle and repeat.

In this case, you don't need the bottom or second half of the circle - the line intercepts the top half both times. The two points you should get are (-10.57, 10.64) and (14.34, 4.42). Just plug them into the distance formula - you should get something close to 25.67 for your answer.
