Florida Line Of Credit

I need to get a credit line (not a credit card) but my home has no equity. I was told that if I put cash into a CD that I can get a CD line of Credit but I don't know which banks offer them? Does anyone know which bank will offer me a CD Line of Credit in the US more specifically in the Florida/Georgia area? Thanks.

I am considering the Deed in lieu of foreclosure option but I have a Home equity line of credit on my house. Is this something that can still be done? BTW I live in Florida if that has any bearing on the answer.

Not absolutely certain about a "2nd" mortgage in Florida, but in most states, the line of credit will just be closed. And if you have a balance, the lender can come after you personally for repayment.

This sounds like an important question to you. I would suggest getting an answer from a Florida real estate attorney.

I was told when you do Bankrupsy, it pays off all your debt, credit cards, taxes, but does it pay your equity line? My friend says it does and she did bankrupsy. I am in Florida. Please help.

go to google.com and type in legalhelpers.... Also chptr 7 wipes off your credit card debts but normally you cannot include taxes, equity lines or student loans are exempt..good luck

Almost everyone wants to grant credit. I am in Winter Haven. Google the stores in your zip code. Call and inquire. They are dieing to take money on credit despite any past issues. Be sure you read the entire contract. The late fees, repossession and termination at will they sneak into all the happy get this stuff today type deals. There are so many stores and u have to know your taste and budget issues b4 I can tell u. The Artfull Home Ritterantic , NY & Frankford, Avetex Furniture but these are more in my area. BUT really nice.
