Emerald Line Of Credit

I have an HR block emerald card in which I have the 300.00 line of credit. Do you know if I can still qualify for the holiday loan or since I already have a balance does that mean we won't qualify? thanks!

A line of credit is just that -a line of credit.
How much credit is available depends on how much of the credit you have used or still have to pay off.
Your question isn't very clear,but for the most part,you should stay clear of these holiday loans and refund anticipation loans.
If this is for Christmas shopping,I suggest you stick with spending what money you can afford or make your own gifts.
Start a Christmas Club account ASAP for next year and if you get a tax refund for 2009-put some in the club and some in a savings account.

The animated TV spot describing our Emerald Advance line of credit for up to $1000.

I filled out a app online last week and a rep was supposed to call me and noone ever did.Does anyone know how to check the status??

Look at their website for a phone number or email contact. Most websites usually have a page with contact information.

No.....It is a $500 line of credit if you are expecting more than $1000 back.

For those who have been approved how good is your credit. I have read online that H&R Block is doing credit checks for this year to get the Emerald Advance Line of Credit and I am wondering how good your credit has to be to actually get approved

need to be in good standings with your credit score for the card they do a credit check like the card places do

my credits not bad but really good, just kinda there. i was turned down for the emerald advance even though i make well above the limit, was due to receive a substantial return this year, and have been an hr block customer for roughly 8 yrs. i also received the emerald advance last year and paid it back early. the only reason for my denial, so i was told, was because of the credit check they ran. i called 1800hrblock and they confirmed that yes indeed they are running credit checks this year. funny thing is, when i called a local hr block office today and asked the gentleman i spoke with assured me that a credit check is not run, and they are just looking for bankruptcy.
so, either the offices know this and are just lying to get people to come in, or the bank is hiding this fact from the hr block tax preparers. either way, it is wrong. i was not told they are running credit checks until i was denied. then it was mentioned to me as an afterthought. i went back to the hr block website and they never mention a credit check.
