No, it's corrupt. Is it fair? Hell no!!!!! Should we reward every disciple of Jesus with the means to sin with all that money. A real pastor should realize that money should be going to charity and helping the poor, not helping Pastors buy a multi-million dollar estate with enough money to spare for a couple German cars. And we wonder why our Church system is broken.........great question. Hopefully someone that is in charge of giving away that money will grow a brain soon and stop this madness.
everyone should know that the doctrine of Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) and Jeremiah Wright is NOT the true gospel of the Lord Jesus, but ...
This is his retirement? This is how he empathizes with the poor? This is Obama's 20 year mentor? Waddaya think?
Sorry wrong category. Chose politics. Don't know how I got here.
Take from the poor and give to the rich. He's a hypocrite bashing rich white people because of what he says is their poor treatment of blacks. Then he takes money away from his poor black congregation and buys himself a $1MM+ house.
It doesnt make sense, not becuase of the movie but it seems like it all makes sense. for instance why would "John" be sitting at the right hand of Jesus dressed identical if in fact Peter was suppose to run the church.... Why was Mary potrayed as such a whore for simply being a woman who belived and followed the word of God.... Why do we give the church so much credit for begin HONEST and Why do we give them so much power. I am 100% Catholic but it seems like they hide a lot from us? I dont understand.......
neither peter nor john run the church . Jesus does. mary was portrayed as a prostitute because the priest who made that up got her and an unnamed prostitute confused, if you read Luke you can see how it happened. the cathoic church has no power. theyre just as stupid as everyone else and arent good at hiding things
Discovered Obama's pastor, Rev.Wright has $1 million home right near the golf course in all white neighborhood, and owns the Church property. No average pastor could afford like this. Average Pastors usually afford average$ 75,00 to $200,00 homes. Today, the information I read an article from Political News, now heard about it from the News networks-CNN, and Fox Channel, and MSNBC. Where do you think he get the money from to live in the luxury home?
Hey,Odogwunn, I am not mad. I am an independent voter. I am just surprised to see the numbers of money he has for the kind of pastor thing. I am not attacking or bashing something to Obama supporters, honestly.
That's the last straw! There is NO WAY I'm voting for Obama now! ;0)
All this from his church. This is the way to relate to the poor?
This is Obama's mentor? Waddaya think?

I heard that story today, hard to believe. The whole Reverend Wright - Obama story has so many unanswered questions. Seems we get answers and no one cares how overboard they are, "Yes we can". Can What? No one is asking.
Now Betrothed: Viewing the Local Church As Bride « Truth Is Unkillable

I welcome all forms of critique and criticism, but please try to be constructive.
God has confirmed for mankind several indispensible institutions: among them are family, church, and government. Imagine the following scenario: Having received instruction from God regarding the family, Adam imparts the knowledge to his sons and they to their sons, so on and so forth. As godly men defended true family values against sinful advances, the family came to be seen as a unified entity. When people heard “the family” they no longer thought in general terms of each family but of one ideal family standing in contrast to false familial teaching. Over time, people came to consider themselves as members in some sort of universal family even over their local familial units. Recognizing that they had more in common with others in their same station than others in their own unit, fathers began working for the good of other fathers. Mothers left their children (with whom they could not possibly relate) and joined themselves to other mothers. Children ran wild, as parentless children will tend to do. Sure, people recognized the familial unit as they still knew who their husbands and wives and children were, but such was not seen as the primary meaning of family, and so society fell apart.
