Credit Card Debt

Bad Credit Line Of Credit Canada

Answers

I need to get a line of credit but my credit is not so good but not bad. In Canada. The bank can't help.?

any suggestions?

Having "not good" credit will certainly get in the way. Your best bet is to get a co-signer if possible.

Line of credit and loans are all about risk. If you have credit that you're not using (zero balance credit cards), cancel them to reduce the total amount of credit available to you - banks look at this.

Banks adjust their tolerance regularly. Avoid applying at any of the banks that have taken a hit on their profits; target new banks and banks that are trying to grow market share.

If you're currently carrying debt on a credit card, you may want to seek a consolidation loan instead. In time this builds trust with the bank and they're more likely to provide a line of credit.

Canada - tax credit for public transit - means public transit is free?

Hey. I was checking the output of tax program w/my tax filing, so I noticed an interesting line - line 364 - Public transit amount, which says you can reimburse monthly/similar passes for public transit.
Am I missing something, or does this essentially mean public transit in Canada is free if you have enough income to cancel out by this tax credit? :)

Too bad I didn't keep any recipes and don't remember in which month I purchased which pass or no pass!

No, the tax credit represents only a small portion (15%) of your transit passes.

Not free.

How bad are things in Canada compared to the United States?

Economically speaking, that is.

From what I understand the US economy really collapsed from within, while Canada is mainly being hurt by its trade relationship with the US. I also heard that unemployment rates in Canada aren't expected to reach as high as in the US.

Statistics aside, how bad are things in a real sense in Canada? I'm speaking in terms of a real person actually finding a job, or getting credit, or anything along those lines. Has the 'real' economy seized up as badly in Canada as it has in the US?

Canada not bad yet,but it may be coming.

Paying my tuition with a credit card.?

Ontario, Canada
So I am planning to either pay my tuition or 1st installment with a credit card. If anyone could give me any advice that would be great.

Also please do not tell me about loans, because I applied for OSAP but since my mom never filed for her 2008 Canada Revenue Agency I will not be able to get OSAP.

I also cannot get a a Student Line of Credit because my parents have bad credit history.

I have won $800 in scholarships, however I have not recieved the cheque for one of them.

A credit card to pay seems like the best option, so if anyone can give me any advice that would be great.

:) thanks

Lousy way to pay for an education! But, it is better than not having an education so go to a bank and ask if they have a low interest rate and what is the lowest rate they can give you. Also inquire about a line of credit even though it isn't likely they will give you one if you have no job but ask. Good luck and do what you have to to get your education!

Michigan Mortgage / Bad Credit / HUD homes / HELP!!?

My husband is in Michigan waiting to immigrate us from Canada. He earns approx $3200 net per month, has been at the same job since Nov 2007, but in the same LINE of work for over 10 yrs (owned his own business for approx 5 yrs during that time). He scored at approximately 600 on his credit reports due to old problems with his business. It shows $11,000 indebtedness on the report. How can he qualify to take advantage of Michigan's foreclosures and purchase a HUD home through FHA with the $100 downpayment program. Should he take the MSHDA pre-purchase credit repair course first? How long are these courses and do they make a difference to lenders? We need to get pre-approval for the mortgage in writing and will have the $1000 EMD and $100 downpayment as required by FHA. Unfortunately, since I'm still in Canada with the kids, I can't be added to the mortgage application until after November..and we have to be IN a new place by mid-January when the kids move over.

I suggest contacting a mortgage company that does not charge for pre-approval and ask them the questions you pose. http://mumloans.com is an affiliated lender of my broker. According to their website they do not charge for pre-approval.

They will be able to answer your questions and give you some options.

Although not a new trend, the combination of brick-n-mortar locations with an Internet presence is certain to eventually become the dominate model. We continue to stress this strategy over and over again to our clients for whom we consult and in our own store and Internet businesses.

If you have a physical location(s), why would you choose to be solely dependent on attracting potential clients from a 5 - 8 - 10 mile radius around your store when, with the aid of a little technology, you can service residents of your entire state or province. And it’s not a huge stretch to service an entire country. In addition to actually funding these loans, there are a multiplicity of methods to develop revenue streams from these leads.
