Us Independent Financial Advisor

Why is it so difficult to find INDEPENDENT financial advice?

Every financial adviser or planner seems to steer us into investments that give them the best trail-ling commissions or a complete waste of time.
What is the trick to getting to the truth?

They work for money. That's the problem there. They are not rich, they are not retired.
I wouldn't get advice off them!
I am a certified financial Planner as i had to be to give advice.
I have retired wealthy and they frown upon me giving seminars and investment strategy's. I have proof mine works, they have a computer program. And that's it.
The trick is. If you pay someone if you pay cheap you will get your commission based advisers.
Go to a planner tell him you plans when you want to retire, what you want to invest in. They can't pick the shares for you or pick an investment property. That's up to you. You tell them what you want. And they need to tell you how to get there. If they say $200 a month in managed funds. Then you go find your own.
Also see which way they are pushing, ask about all investment strategies. Make sure they give you options.
To keep it short they are there to keep you on track and make a plan to achieve you goals. Not specifically recommend a product.

What US companies use the largest networks of independent sales reps, agents or advisers?

Looking for industries like insurance, financial advisers, real estate, pharmaceutical sales, drug reps.

Mary Kay Cosmetics has to rank pretty high on the list.

Can you still recieve financial aid from FAFSA if you don't have a tax return for the prior year.?

I will be married and considered independent no matter what but neither of us have a tax return for last year. (which is what fafsa bases your EFC on). Am I still eligible for money and if so how much and how do they figure it?

I need real answers and am going to speak with a financial adviser soon.

What's the reason for not having a return? That makes a difference. There are different forms that can be filled out, but if you were supposed to file and didn't, you can't get aid until you have filed. If neither of you worked, that's a different story. Every school has different forms for low incomes. Just know that you will be expected to explain how you both survived if neither of you worked. Did you get welfare, TANF, Social Security, disability? Did you live with your parents? Someone had to support you even if they didn't directly give you money. Someone is having to pay for you to live. Just be prepared to answer those kinds of questions. If you did file, but you don't have copies, there is a form that can be sent to the IRS to get copies of the tax transcripts. It is called a 4506-T. Ask the FA advisor. They deal with this all the time!!

I am screwed and see no way to pay for college?

im 18 and my parents refuse to give me any tax forms for financial aid and i have no income because of this shitty economy. i haven't had a job more than two to four months at a time because of high school or moving. i have absolutely no credit and i have no family to cosign. i haven't no conceivable way to pay for college but to work which is almost impossible to find for a lowly high school graduate. student loans are no way possible because my credit is non- existent. the government really sucks by making us be 24 to be independent and i don't have the money or anything to try and show that i am independent. this really sucks because i need school and there is no way possible to pay for it. the financial adviser said to get fasfa or private loans which i cant either and i have a 3.2 GPA. it is only an as in massage therapy and i cant even afford it. this world sucks when ur legal age to go to war but not be independent for fasfa. if anyone at all knows how i might find a loophole to get college please let me know because i am very depressed over this whole situation.
my parents wont give me any info because they don't want to be financially responsible for me. all because it is so hard to find jobs and they are afraid that when i do get a job ill loose it again and they have to foot the bill. i understand there concern but i am borderline homeless and living with a friend right now because i got evicted because i got laid off.
well they are afraid for some reason that if i default on a loan that they are partly responsible. thanks for the speedy responses and ill take a look at those websites

There is something you can do, but you may not like it. There are only a handful of ways to become independent for the FAFSA: turn 24 (which you already know), have your parents die (not recommended), get married (also not recommended), or join the armed forces. I hate to say it, but if you're having trouble both with finding a job and getting your parents to fill out the FAFSA... the military is your best bet. It's a job, and it will make you independent for FAFSA purposes when you've finished your time in the military. Maybe it's not something you're willing to do, but... it's an option.

Unanswered dreams of our Mothers

Today is Monday (Moon’s Day), the day that we dedicate to the essence of life….Yemonja.

The ability that all living things have….to birth new ideas, to nurture all living things, and the potential for giving life.  Both men and women have the ability of  Yemonja the mother, since we all have her essence.

Let’s dedicate this day to the unanswered dreams of our Mothers.

Let’s imagine our mothers as little girls playing house with their dolls and sometimes even tea sets.

Let’s imagine them without their innocence lost.

Let’s imagine them as young women, afraid and insecure.  Lets imagine them overcoming these insecurities and blossoming into beautiful women.
