The State of New Jersey is in a fiscal mess and the legislature is moving to enact Pension Reform. While I have some conflicting opinions regarding public/private employment, I understand the need for flexibility by NJEA, as well as changes in the expenditures by the state. There is much finger pointing and blaming being promulgated by various factions. Hopefully, something sensible will be done over the next few years to stop the endless development of new programs and initiatives which can't be financed, and a new understanding in this state that the public sector can't be the engine of growth. pension plan was supposed to go into an investment fund which was supposed to be PRUDENTLY invested....
