Unless community colleges are terribly expensive in Arizona, the PELL will pay 50% of the cost of tuition, fees, books, and living expenses. The living expenses are defined by the college and the US Department of Education and bear no relationship to to reality. Everything combined, the grant should pay for your tuition, fees, books, with some left over.
You also qualify for Federal Student Work Study, and may qualify for other financial assistance. Have a serious conversation with the financial aid office. If you have children, there may be money for child care.
Almost all financial aid begins with your score which is 0. Look through your college's catalog and see if it lists need based scholarships. If you work, does your employer reimburse you tuition, fees, etc.

Two can play this character attack and guilt by association game, but Obama largely has not.
Obama's idea of a negative attack ads is pointing out that McCain is a conservative Republican just like conservative Republican George Bush. That's like saying the color red is red.
McCain and his scumbags, on the other hand, have called Obama gay, a communist, an illegal immigrant, arab, muslim, terrorist, anti-American, and a racist. I don't know what else is left.
DO YOU THINK OBAMA SHOULD HAVE ATTACKED BACK AND BROUGHT UP THE FOLLOWING?
1) McCain cheated on his first wife and married his second only a month after he dumped his first one.
2) McCain is a good friend of Gordon Liddy, a man resposible for the White Water break in, and who went on to become a nut on right-wing radio. Gordon tells his viewers to go for "headshots" on the feds because they might be wearing bullet proof vests. He said Hitler's sheer animal confidence and power of will entranced him.The guy even had a plan to murder another columnist he disagreed with.
3) McCain's "spiritual advisor" Rod Parsley wants a holy war with Islam.
4) McCain endorser John Hagee, said the Catholic Church is the great whore, the anti-christ system, and a cult. McCain personally sought out the endorsement of this bigot and then threw him under the bus when it was no longer politically useful.
5) McCain chaired the International Republican Institute when it funded an organization Rashid Khalidi co-founded. McCain accuses Rashid of being a spokesperson of the PLO.
6) McCain sat on the board of the far right U.S. Council for World Freedom. The jewish ADL has called this group a gathering of racists and anti-Semites.
7) McCain's idol in Arizona was conservative Republican Barry Goldwater who was against civil rights. His mentor in congress was conservative Republican John Tower, a man who supported segregation and opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. McCain himself voted against making MLK Jr a holiday, but then changed his mind when it became politically incorrect.
8) McCain's long time South Carolina consultant, Richard Quinn, is a publisher of a Southern heritage magazine. Richard is a slavery apologist who thinks slaves didn't have it that bad and uses his magazine to attack people like Martin Luther King Jr and Nelson Mandela, and defend people like David Duke.
9) McCain has spoken at "La Raza" confederences. "La Raza" literally means "The Race". The right accuses this organization of being racist and pro-illegal immigration. McCain himself teamed up with Ted Kennedy for a pro-amnesty bill but it failed to pass.
10) McCain was best friends with Charles Keating, a man who cost the government 3 billion dollars and defrauded lots of people out of their life savings. Keating was an owner of a Savings and Loan that was under investigation for fraud. He donated millions of dollars to McCain and four other senators. When Keating was asked whether his financial support had influenced the senators. He said, "I certainly hope so."
11) McCain funded terrorist when he donated money to the Contras, a group known to have killed and raped civilians, including nuns. The Contras were also engaged in the drug trade.
Obama has not needed to go negative. The issues are on his side. When the facts are on your side - argue the facts. When the facts are not on your side -- just argue.
I think that all the negative ads have done is show that McCain is desperate.
When you see the smears from McCain followed by the positive message of Obama -- it's striking. Obama just comes across as more presidential - he come across as someone who really wants Change. He offers hope - he offers a light at the end of the tunnel - and it's not a train.
Over the past thirty days, Obama has consistently led McCain by an average of five points in tracking polls: Obama hasn't garnered more than 50 percent of the vote and McCain hasn't topped 46. During this same period, McCain's campaign has continuously made mistakes. Their blunders have varied in severity from McCain and his advisors suggesting that America's financial woes are psychological -- that we've become a nation of "whiners" -- to the Arizona Senator confusing Shiites with Sunnis. The only period when McCain avoided gaffes was during his ill-advised trip to Colombia and Mexico when he dropped out of sight.
-BB-
Obama will start pulling ahead after the debates.
McCain will just come across as too old and Obama will come across as fresh, dynamic, exciting, optimistic. McCain will be old, tired, and lame.
KTAR.com - Bashas' rejects bid from Albertsons
PHOENIX - Arizona grocery chain Bashas' Inc., which is working to emerge from bankruptcy protection, has rejected a buyout offer of at least $260 million from rival Albertsons LLC.
Albertsons CEO Bob Miller sent a letter including the offer to Bashas' chairman Eddie Basha Jr. this month. It was revealed in a filing in U.S. bankruptcy court by lawyers representing Bashas' lenders.
The lenders' filing says Bashas' hadn't disclosed it had been approached by Albertsons until the letter forced its hand.
Eddie Basha said in a statement issued late Wednesday that the company immediately shared the letter with the official creditors committee in its bankruptcy case and its lenders.
