I need some advice on which credit counseling agencies are the best and the most legite. I am ready to take action on getting credit counseling and getting help with my spending addiction! I live in Ohio and I need some help.
There will always be people quick to judge and the only person that judges me is God. I have been humbled by my spending by not only losing my job, my home, and my dignity, but I also realized I was spending to cope with the depression of my divorce. I am not looking for anyone to pay my bills, because trust me, I know many people that are that way. I realize that I will be the one paying back every single penny; but being as though my debt is double of what I bring in; I can't afford to pay each separate credit card at the interest and the amount per month. I am just asking for advice what CC services are legite. I have too much pride to file for brankruptcy. I caused this mess, I will get out of it; that's where you people that are just surfing on Yahoo Answers comes into place. Obvioulsy you wouldn't be on this site if you didn't want to voice your opinion. So be honest. I'm a tough cookie, I can take it. I am proud enough to admit I need help, so help me.

There isn't anywhere, from mom and pop retailers to major store chains, where you can't use a credit card. That's made credit too easy for some people...who had trouble paying credit bills and incurred higher interest rates on their cards. A new law aims to protect consumers from sudden hikes in interest rates and fees, while restricting fees for people who exceed their credit limits.
But the head of Parkersburg's Consumer Credit Counseling Service fears it might have a negative effect on many Mid-Ohio Valley residents.
"What's going to happen is that the credit card companies are going to be tighter on giving credit cards to low-income families," says Executive Director Pam Dowler. "It's no matter if you do have good credit. They're going to look at that in a stronger asset in terms of handing them out. And if you do get it, you're going to pay a higher interest rate."
