This is my family situation in India. My late father had taken several loans on his inherited land property. He repaid almost everything. Almost all the inherited land is sold except a loan of 1.7 lakhs on the only piece of land which belongs to my brother who is now the only earner in our family of three (my mom stays with my brother and I am in US, married but not working). My brother started his career as a CA (he cleared the exam very late) in Jan 2006 and had several pressures during that time (my father was diagnosed with cancer that time and the expenses grew as my father was not earning). My brother's only saving is 1 lakh till date and we dont own a house of our own. My brother would like to be very careful in any expense as he is still paying off the interest on the remaining debt that my father took on the land. He wants to buy a home. Please advise on this and any professional credit counseling centers in Trivandrum (Kerala,India).
I would also like to add that my mom and brother are a quiet hesitant to sell off the land as that would mean there would be no assets for my brother to lean back on if thats sold. Both of them are staying in a rented house in Trivandrum (Kerala, India) and the rent is quiet high (6000/month). With the debt and a very small saving, is it possible to think of buying a home? What are the Finance Couseling Centers in Trivandrum? Please advise, anything greatly appreciated

So I am engaged right? well when I became engaged to my fiance, I told her that It was going to be a long engagement because I wanted to be sure that we were financially stable and done with college (makes sense to me) but I wanted to assure her that I wanted to be with her forever and always.
Well lately all we fight about are two things.
the first thing is the date/details of the wedding. I could care less as long as it is after we are done with college (another 2 years) but she wants it now or within the year. I can't even see that as a possibility because of my financial situation and her lack of a job.
the other thing we have been fighting about is college. I want to be a youth pastor and go to a bible college (you have to go to one to be a pastor these days) she isn't sure what she wants to do, but she is leaning towards counseling or teaching. She wants to follow me to college. Her reasoning is that it doesn't matter where she gets a degree. But I think it is because she doesn't trust me to go out by myself, thinking i will leave her. Fact of the matter is, it will affect her career options in the future, but she doesn't believe me.
I am her total support right now, emotionally and financially (like I said, no job) it is starting to take its toll. I have gone into debt for her (damn credit cards) I have given up great opportunities already, like a study abroad in Israel for the summer last year, I have missed trips to places with friends because I had to use my money for her and I have only my internet friends to really communicate my emotional trials to, which in my opinion is sad.
Should I just bare with her or break off the engagement? All of her friends are my friends and vice a versa, how would this effect them?
I am just so confused on what to do
I am going to give you my opinion and I hope you take into heart. You need to cool it with her and let her go. Do you even realize that this girl is bringing you down? Your companion supposes to up lift you and she is not. And also, how are you going to be a pastor saying that word. She is already a bad influence on you. Do you not realize that you are her meal ticket and it is like you are in a daze and only see her. You need a life and she is holding you back.
