Where can I get a joint secured credit card and will this help improve both person's credit score?
Secured Business Credit Card

My fiance and I have bad credit. We want to start building credit so we can eventually start looking for an apartment. We've heard that Secured Cards that report to major credit bureaus can help improve a credit score. Is there anywhere we can get a joint secured card? First Premier looks like a good card but I can't tell whether or not it's possible to have 2 people on the account. We cannot afford to open two independent secured cards.

What is the secured credit card with the lowest (or nonexistent) annual fee?

I don't care about interest rates, because I intend to pay the card fully every month. I am someone with "no credit," because I have never believed in debt, and I am not eligible for unsecured cards. I am starting to realize that I have to build some credit in order to one day buy a house. I have plenty of money to (modestly but comfortably) live on and don't actually need to borrow. I just don't want to pay a lot of money for the privelege (?!) of having a secured card.

The best secured credit card for people with no credit is the Classic MasterCard from Orchard Bank. They are the leader in providing credit card for those with no or bad credit.

How does a secured credit card work?

I know that a secured credit card means using your own money but what I dont get is how is it to be paid back? If I opened a secured card with the same checking account, used their checks to pay off my secured card, where is the money coming from since I'm writing a check from THEIR bank?

When you get a credit card with a $500 limit, for example, you put $500 in an account to secure that card. When you use the card, you must pay it with money from your account, not the $500 security money you put up. If for some reason you do not pay the payments on the card, they will then use your security money. The checks you write are coming from your money, not the banks.

Secured credit card. Can I get a secured Visa card with MC charge off on my credit report?

Rebuilding my credit and I have an old Master Card account that was charged off that I am attempting to satisfy. I want to obtain a secured card from a local credit union to start establishing some good credit. Do I have to satisfy the old account before doing this or will I be able to get the secured card.

Where can I get a secured credit card?

I'm 25 and never had a credit card. I get denied for the regular card, and my bank doesn't do secured credit cards... I'm a full time student and got turned down for the student card as well. I've seen applications online for secured cards that always ask for employer and salary. But I'm a student and would like to use some of my loans to start up some good credit. I'd only use it to pay for utilities and normal things, then pay it off each month.
Where can a student get a secured card?

In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company<!--This amount will be equal to your credit limit. Pay over your minimum every month and send your payment in before the due date and you will build your credit up gradually. Never miss a payment, be late on a payment, or go over your credit limit even by a small amount.

You don't want the company to ever have to take from your pre deposit amount because they want you to handle your account just like you would an unsecured card. A great thing about this pre deposit amount that you send in is it can act as a savings account even earning a little-->bit of interest for you. After establishing yourself with the credit card company, they may decide to give you a unsecured credit card or increase the limit on the one you have with them without having to make another deposit. Secured credit cards are a good choice for anyone wishing to rebuild their credit history.

  • Is A Business Credit Card With No Credit Possible?

Obtaining a business credit card with no credit is possible. It can be difficult to obtain a credit card if you have no credit. There are certain types of cards that are available just for people with no credit. If you do end up getting a regular credit card then you should be aware that you will not have the same benefits as someone with credit. A secured credit card is what is normally given to people that are just starting out and have very little or no credit to their name. A secured credit card will use your bank account as collateral. Because of this you will not be paying as high of an interest rate as you would with an unsecured credit card. You can rest assured knowing that as long as you are faithful to paying your monthly bill you are slowly building your credit up to where it needs to be. A secured credit card is a credit card with training wheels. This card is given to you so that you can prove yourself as someone that can be trusted to make a payment on time. Obtaining an unsecured credit card with no credit can be a little trickier. You will probably have to end up paying a very high interest rate. You will be charged several fees as well. This is inevitable until you are able to establish your credit. As long as you are able to make payments on time you will slowly be able to wear down the interest rate until it is something that is more manageable. It is important that you use your unsecured credit card wisely. If you are late on a payment when you are just starting out this could do bad things to your credit. Prove yourself as someone that can handle a credit card and you will be rewarded with affordable interest rates and fewer fees. Another way to get credit cards with no credit is to check with your bank that you use. A lot of the time they will offer special deals to customers that have been banking with them. If you have a good history with your bank, this means very few if any over drafts or any other issues, then you may be able to get a good deal. The longer you have been with your bank the better. If you know someone that has good credit then you may want to talk to them about cosigning for a credit card with you. Someone with established credit vouching for you will make you a more attractive candidate for the credit card companies. You will need to keep in mind that when you do this that it’s not just you that will get into trouble if you do not make your payments on time or at all. The person that cosigned is also held responsible for any issues that may come up.
