I am trying to get the new Discover credit card with the RFID chip in it so I can use it contactless card readers. Discover calls the feature "Zip"and it is similar to MasterCard's "PayPass" and "ExpressPay" from American Express. However, when I called and spoke to Discover customer service, they were clueless (bunch of morons if you ask me). Anyone know where I can get this card?
dont get it

Basically im trying to make a science project for my junior class on how New credit cards with RFID chips in them have positive and negative effects
i want to buy an RFID reader that can read those credit cards so i can give an example to my on lookers, and have the RFID reader atleast read 3 feet away
any one can tell me where to buy it or how to make it so it can do that?
Even if I knew I wouldn't tell you how to read people's credit cards and steal their data. Do a project without the reader. There is plenty of information out there. Or use UPC codes.

You know the little RFID cards that you can use at gas stations. You just put your card over the scan area and it automatically charges your account.
I'm wondering if there are banks that offer this card attached to a checking account. So far I've only seen them as credit cards.
Thanks
I believe CIBC does.
Whats the main frequency of RFID cards? the ones that are the size of credit card/hotel room key.
These only work when a current is sent to them and then the information onb then can be read (PASSIVE RFID)
And how can they be read / cloned?
There are many frequencies that RFID tags use. Normally, access control uses 125 kHz to 134 kHz range. A hotel would probably use this range. For ID, and not just something like a shoplifting alarm, each card will need to generate a unique code. To do this it will need a chip embedded in it. You'll need a card reader and writer to clone an RFID card. The links below will give you detailed information.

Black Hat reveals credit data via RFID insecurity - PCI and Add-In ...
The Black Hat security conferences are always good for a crowd pleasing demonstration or two, and security researcher Adam Laurie was happy to oblige at the latest DC based event. In a 'look no hands' fashion, he was able to pull up account data including name, account number and expiration date from an AMEX credit card and display it on the big screen to the attending masses, without actually removing the card from the wallet of the man who owned it. Yet this was no trick, but rather a demonstration to get a debate started on the potential security weakness of the RFID smart-chip-enabled technology implemented on some credit cards these days. Laurie combined some simple hardware with a Python-based...
