And does anyone use MerchantServices.com?
I don't know who is the best, each has their weaknesses and strengths. However, a decent one is through Google. You may want to look into it.
www.iphonesled.com is offering a FREE iPhone sled mobile credit card processing solution for the iPhone.
I already receive 3 credit investigation. One at my mobile, on our land phone and last in my office.. Does it mean I'm already approved? I'l just wait for the arrival of my credit card?
It depends on the card and the bank issuing it. Most are totally automated and you'll be approved or declined in seconds. Others still wait on people to manually check the applications, or your application will be sent to them for review if the computer sees a "red flag" like the social security number coming up under a different name, a bad credit history, or a bunch of applications from the same address. If someone has to look at it, it can take up to a week to be approved. Once you're approved, it usually takes 7-10 days to recieve your new card.

This truly baffles me:
Setting aside us all bitchin' about Starbucks (let's take that as read, shall we?), they have a card which you can get instore and 'credit' using cash - like a mobile 'phone top-up card.
So you put £10 on it, say. You can only use it in Starbucks. You buy a coffee (or what they call coffee) and you hand over the card and your card is processed and debited.
You get no discounts or anything like that, you pay regular prices.
So what's the bleedin' point? Why go through the rigmarole of tying up your £10 in a one-outlet shop card when you could - much more easily - just hand over your tenner and get the change?
Starbucks advertise it as the 'easier way to pay' - how the hell is it easier than handing across some cash? Or even your debit card?
We know why Starbucks might want you to have it, but can anyone explain why a sane person would want this card?
Just as a gift card maybe...or sending one off to a college student..other than that NO. $4 for a cup of Joe is beyond me.

My husband of 29 years recently walked out on me and our three girls. I’ve been awarded spousal support and child support through the courts. $400 spousal, and 500.00 Child support ( that ends in two years )
Ever since he left, Oct 1st I have fallen behind on all of my bills, but mostly my two Credit cards which are solely in my name. These are in my name because he had a business bankruptcy about five years ago, and was not able to obtain any credit. These cards are both maxed out to a total of nearly ten thousand dollars, and the phone calls have just begun.I try my best to keep my payments up, but I’m not even meeting the minimum.
Yesterday I received a call from a credit bureau over my Sears charge card and found out that they are charging me an $148.00 a month for an Over Limit Amount !
I phoned them and asked them to stop those extra charges and of course they told me no . They also told me to go into bankruptcy. After 2 days of researching the net, and making phone calls, I find that I could lose my home if I do this?? I am quite mystified at the whole process and wondered if you had some sound advice for me? I have just been in touch with a debt consolidation place, but they said that I would have to make payments of $250.00 per month for FIVE years..
That’s over 3,000 more than i owe right now, and if I had an extra 250.00 I’d be making my credit cards payment with that. I am 53 years of age, have been out of the work force for 16 years ever since we got custody of his grand daughter.
I am also leery of leaving my eldest daughter home alone, she is Down syndrome, and we use wood heat to keep the place warm. I am joint owner of a mobile home with my ex husband, and the three girls live here with me. The mobile is paid off now. I cannot risk losing the roof over our heads by declaring bankruptcy, do you see any way out for me? Should I declare bankruptcy, Debt Consolidation or keep plugging uselessly away?
I live in British Columbia, Canada
Thank you for your responses, much appreciated
Look to the government for some support, you're likely able to qualify for food stamps / financial assistance at this point. Call your creditors back and ask for hardship assistance. Tell them that you want to pay the bills off, but at this point if they can't be flexible then you're thinking of bankruptcy. That will get some wheels turning a bit more. Don't be afraid to ask for a supervisor if you don't get what you want, this is your future on the line.
If you worked for a company that sold credit card processing, how would you sell that?
I feel like an idiot walking into a small business and being like..." Hey how much are you paying to process visa and mastercards per transaction? - Want to see if I can beat the rate you are paying now?"
To me that sounds like people will just be like....nah I'm good.
Should I call first? Should I hit up flea markets and walk around and ask all the merchants.
Should I call businesses that are mobile and most likely dont even take credit cards and offer them a solution?
What do you think?
Are you an independent agent or do you actually work for a credit card processing company? Do you have any collateral, such as brochures, business cards, etc?
Step 1 is to dress professionally, suit and tie. Don't be casual, this is all business.
Step 2, get some collateral, even simply terminal brochures and rate card. Yes, walk into the store and ask to speak with the owner. If the owner is not there, ask when they'll be there, note it down, then come back when specified.
Step 3, introduce yourself as either an independent agent or as an employee of whatever processing company you are with. This is pivotal. Payments processing agents can be very active in your area, so also seek areas where its not a saturated market.
Step 4, strike up a conversation where YOU are helping the owner, not the other way around. Be respectful, but persistent. Everyone wants to save money. Request a statement and tell them you can beat that rate!! It is seldom you will close a deal right away, so get all the contact info you need from the store owner, ask for a callback or return visit time, and leave your business card and any other collateral they request.
Step 5, follow up! Persistence is key, just don't be annoying. It's a numbers game, like anything, so your feet have to be constantly on the street. Door to door, stall to stall, whatever. Keep the pipeline full. Good luck!
P.S. Do NOT cold call. They don't know who or what is on the other line. Success rate for this is very low. Show up in person first. Make sure they see you are serious and mean business. You are Mr. Money Saver to them. You are Golden! Keep this in mind. You can do it.
