Gold credit card= higher or lower/ less or more important than a platinum credit card? How much money do you have to spend on each in order to max them out?

First it was silver, then gold, now it now seems the platinum is the standard credit card. There is no longer any prestige colored card. Why have banks done that?

With some companies such as American Express, Gold and Platinum still mean something. But with a lot of other cards it has become more of a marketing campaign. With a lot of people who have standard credit if they got offered a regular card or a platinum card they would go for the platinum card because it sounds better.

The new "Platinum" is the "Black" or "Signature" cards that have no limits and give you a lot of services that others don't. But in another 10 years or so those will become the standard and there will be another prestige card.

I recieved a a pre-approved credit card, i want to get it but i'm not sure if the company really exist. The card is called Horizon Gold credit card.

When you are not sure why are you going for that. Discover has some cards with 0% intro apr rates and also some reward programs like 5 % cash back on certain purchase .

want to migrate to Commonwealth Bank Australia gold credit card, currently having normal award credit card for a year with no late payment and never go over limit.

Money from your parents is considered a gift and not income and so is not relevant - the decision will be based solely on your income (that is taxable) from your job - if that is great enough then yes.
