I would like to buy a downloadable piano piece on yamaha webiste? how can i say that my credit card is safe on that website? I know that, that store really exist and i can really download the file, but what about the protection for my credit card?

When you open that web site and asking you to fill your information check this
1. If you are using intranet Explorer 6 right click on anywhere in your browser in the same site that asking you for credit card and so on and the click properties take a look at the properties windows and check if the address in the search bar is the same as in the properties windows be care full here sometime my be only coma can make different
2. in the properties windows click certificate this will open a new windows click the general tab and take a look at the date for valid form and Issued to now click certification bath and take a look at the bottom for certificate status make sure that you see this certificate is OK
In Internet Explorer 7 take a look if you see a lock icon near to the search bar click on it and check the web also you can use the help option in your browser to see how to check if you are safe or not

I'm just curious as to how safe a credit card authorization form is. I want to buy something from a merchant online who does not have e-commerce set up. Instead, she has emailed me a credit card authorization form on a microsoft word document asking me to fill it out and send it back with my credit card number and billing information. What kind of precautions will I need to take in this case? Can somebody fill me in as to how this works from the merchant's standpoint? Thanks.

Sounds like it’s going to boil down to trust. Make sure the company is reputable. Moreover, make sure your credit card issuer has a good fraud policy. In the event something should go wrong you want to make sure you are completely covered.

Safety Issues with downloading bank and credit card statements
Question Details: I have quickbooks and thought it would be better for my business to download my credit card statements and bank statements to desktop but did not know if it would cause safety problems as far as identity theft, etc. Thank you for your valued response.

I would not save them to the desktop, because then anyone who has access to your pc can access the information.
You need to set up a secure back up system for this information.
Downloading is much more secure than mail.
You never know who is going through your mail, but if you have secure passwords to your accounts on line. The information is much more secure. The banks go to great lengths to keep hackers out.

I can definately understand where you're coming from with the credit card fear. However I've been playing WoW since the launch of the game. I've used a credit card since day one, and I've seen no problems. However you can also play it safe and go to your local game store, target, or best buy and get a Game Card. You can buy one there and type in the code for your account on WoW.com and you're getting just as good of deal as if you were using a credit card. I hope I helped!
