what's the best credit card to help repair my bad credit?

I'm recently working on getting divorced & my credit was badly damaged because of that. My bank is working with me to help me recover, but I am looking for a basic credit card, not necessairily a large line of credit, and one with REASONABLE fees and interest rates. Also, looking for credit repair services that really work and that areasonably priced.

I would to have to say honestly that I wouldn't do that if I were you. I would not go in that direction. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes when the bill comes in for that credit card(s) start coming in cause in the long run you will have you self A NICE BIG FAT HOLE DUG AND it will take a long time to dig your way out, and then it will take you a much longer time to really get any kind of credit and NOT JUST WITH A BANK . My husband & I did it once with a gas card thought we were smart . In the long haul of it all it took forever to pay it off cause IT'S LIKE HAVING ONE OF THOSE REVOLVING accounts & when the bill arrives, IT COME IN WITH LARGE FEES AND percentages attached TO THEM too !! It may take awhile to rebuild your credit with you being single but you would be better off waiting awhile than to put yourself into that kind of debit especially with a divorce and all. BE PATIENT AND WAIT THAT'S MY ADVICE. I DON'T BELIEVE YOU would be very happy if you put yourself in that kind of debt !!

what is the best credit card to get to repair my credit?

My credit is looking really bad, and im ignorant when it comes to credit, and credit card lingo. i was wondering if there was a card to get that is better than others, with my bad credit. and if there any other good ways to help to repair my credit?

Companies like Capital One, Orchard Bank, Citibank can help to repair your credit. One of the many benefits of using one of these preferred lenders is that they report positively to the major credit scoring repositories. But interest rates from these companies can be up to 25-30% annually. http://www.yourcreditoptions.com/Bad-Cre dit-Card-Offers-870385-page.php
Most of the major banks and lending institutions can offer secured credit deposit before backing a credit card for you. A secured credit card may be the only option for some people with a poor credit history. Since the card is backed by a savings account, there is less risk for the issuer and it is easier to qualify for the card. A secured card has a maximum credit limit set equal to or as a percentage of the amount in the savings account. Before applying for a secured card, be sure to look at the minimum amount you must maintain in your account to be eligible for the card.

Credit Repair - Credit Cards - Does the type of card make a difference?

I found a huge credit card directory... Does the credit card you apply for make a difference on your credit report?

If I apply for a poor credit credit card - http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repa ir/credit_cards.php - Would this effect my credit report?

If I apply for a really great credit card like American Express Blue: http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repa ir/credit_cards.php?review=23 - Would this look good on my credit report if I am approved? And would this look really bad on my report if I am denied compared to a poor credit credit card?

I have been reviewing all the credit cards: http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repa ir/credit_cards.php & found http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repa ir/credit_cards.php?review=23 to have an overall rating and benefit rating as the highest so far... I am scared to apply if I get turned down and it shows on my credit report as being turned down by a GOOD credit card...

Your credit report and score doesn't care if you have prime or subprime cards. But, if you have a subprime card on your reports (like Aspire) and try applying for a prime, the prime company may notice. (That doesn't necessarily mean getting denied with a prime company though. But it might(?) mean a lower limit or higher scores)

As for applying "through" that site you've listed, I wouldn't recommend it. Always go to the home site of the credit card you are applying for. Don't trust putting your sensitive info on any application through a site like the one you listed.

I'm not saying that particular site is bad, I don't know, but I do know that people have had their ID's stolen by going through similar sites when applying.

As for the Amex Blue, it is hard to get unless you have pretty good credit. Most Amex cards are hard to get without a good credit history, but Blue is one of the harder ones.

Since you didn't list your scores or your baddies on your reports you might go to the link I've provided. Click on forums then look at the upper right corner for CreditPulls.

You can put your score (or a few points higher score) and click on the search button. When the results come up, click on score and it will sort it from the highest to lowest scores. It will list many different things - what card it is, if the person was approved or not. How much the credit line is. Many times it will say what baddies were on the peoples reports at the time of applying. And much more.

After looking through that, you might look through the credit forum. Do searches on the card you are thinking about and then read of others experiences when applying etc.

You might also learn how to deal with any baddies on your reports if you have any.

What is a good credit card/process to help repair poor credit due to adolescent irresponsibility.?

I have spent the past two years trying to build credit after the destruction I performed during the first years of my adult life. I have cut my monthly expenses down to only rent, insurance and student loan payments. I would greatly appreciate some advice on what my next step should be. if a credit card isnt the solution, what is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Crown Jewelers; generally everyone starts out with a $1500 limit. They report to Experian and Trans Union. Buy something really small. It requires a down payment of $7.00 to $10.00. Then after 6 months of paying on time, there is no down payment required. They start reporting about a month after you join. Then when other cards you apply for see your limit they give you a higher limit also. The jewelry is not the top of the line. However it helps your credit score go up, and get higher limits on other credit cards.

Also, a good resource is...

How do I repair my credit? Ive already paid off delinquent accounts and now only have 1 credit card. Help?

I had several delinquent accounts but have paid them all off in full. I am currently a student and have student loans but will not be required to pay them off until after graduation which is about a year from now. I currently have 1 credit card in my name and share one with my dad, with him as cosigner. How do I repair my credit so it'll be good enough for me to finance a car in a year or obtain a mortgage in 2 or 3 years? Help please?

For getting any kind of loan Credit History is much more important than credit score. Often, the lack of credit history is equated with bad credit. You should be aware that lenders will go through your credit report once you apply for loan for buying a house. Therefore you should polish your credit report. Anyway, in order to establish a good credit history and at the same time risen your credit score in a short time do following things:

1) Close all of your credit cards but one. It reflects in your credit report and it is a very good sign. For instance say that you have 5 credit cards with $1000 credit limit for each. Therefore you are responsible for $5000 of possible debt. But when you close 4 of them, now you are only responsible for $1000 of debt which lowers the level of risk of lending money to you.

2) If you have any loan, like car loan or any balance on your credit cards, try to pay more than your monthly payment for 6 months or something. I mean say your monthly due on your car loan is $150, try to pay $250 each month. Lenders can see these trends in your credit report and they see that you’re a responsible borrower.
If you don’t have such loans, I suggest getting a $3000-$4000 loan and paying it off in full in 5-6 months. You might pay $200-$300 of interest but you will save thousands of dollars in your home mortgage and interest rates.
