Hello, I was watching a show on how they scam people, and it consisted of getting the info on the strip of the credit card and later rewriting that to anything with a magnetic strip, which could be a hotel room key, whatever, and using the clone of the original to withdraw cash. That gave me an idea. While travelling, I could clone my cards onto hotel room keys, or anything with a strip, and not carry credit cards. They wouldn't be accepted at restaurants, or where a person sees the card, but they would work in ATM's. What equiptment do I need to do that fairly inexpensively? Thanks!

Now ... what is harder to do is decrypt the codes & duplicate them onto another magnetic stripe. The software is varied yet easily obtained on the web ... the "know how" is not.

Listen .... even if cloning your own card the fine print on your agreement with the credit card companies is very clear. It's illegal .. period.

Just forget about it.

cards writers have been around for a long time and on the whole they are illegal to own and use
however they are freely avalible to purchase on the internet and as long as they are used only for personal use there shouldnt be a problem
in regards to using them you would need some kind of specific software that also includes the nessecary drivers and firmware for the card writer
however again this type of software is difficult to get as its not something the general public would need,however trying a torrent search engine such as "pirate bay" ( http://thepiratebay.org/ ) may yeild some results

Mine just died and out of fear of having to buy one, I was interested if anyone knows where I can get one for a fair price.

All I need is:
2 gigs of ram
CD and DVD reader/writer
120gig HD
15.4" screen

Would like to have:
built in web cam/mic

Any chance of getting this for around $799 from a reputable store? Dell.com is too expensive. OfficeDepot has nice sales on now but it takes 2 weeks to get their credit card.
