I'm going to have a booth at an arts and crafts fair. I'm not sure how to accept credit cards. do i have to go with the manual cordless credit card machine or are there more options. thanks
How do i get the wireless equipment free?
For a booth at an arts and crafts fair you would definitely want to use a wireless credit card terminal. Swiping the card gives you a lower discount rate. Never lease your equipment. Get it for free or buy it.You want to find a company that has no annual fees, no start-up costs, no application fees, a low discount rate, low transaction fee, & do not pay for training on your equipment. Never sign a contract with out reading all of it. Some sales people will tell you things and it turns out differently. Take care of yourself and your business. :-)
I have done research on all of these companies before. Simple Payment Systems is the best and meets all that I have stated above. I am completely satisfied with them.
I did look into propay.com and there were many complaints online about them.
You can go to the web site below and call them or fill out the form and they will call you.
Best wishes!
Tell them you want the"Free Terminal Program" (On the web site it showed which terminals are on it. ) I hope this helps!
I am trying to make a website, and I know how to set it up, but, I need to put a credit card proceessor in there so people can pay online, how do I do this? Des anyone know any HTML or javascript fr that type of thing?
I don't believe that there is just a script that you can use. One of the simplest ways though is to a use a company such as Paypal to take care of all of that stuff. You set up the website and they take care of the checkout.
You can look at them here - http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd =_merchant-outside. If you don't like them there are many others to choose from. That's what I would recommend doing. There might be another way, but I don't know about it.
Oh yeah, you might try looking at the company who is hosting your site, they might offer some type of check out.

I might have the wrong name. When I say card processor, I mean companies like Google checkout, 2Co, Clickbank, e.t.c., people who you need to process your customers credit cards. I think another name for them is merchant account.
I ask this question bcz I heard it can cost thousands just to set up, and yet I've heard it's not that expensive. For example I saw Google is only $50 to set up then couple cents off each item sold. So I want to know is it thousands one time or not. Thanks.
The one we use has a 10% Holdback fee (which you are reimbursed after 6 months) and a 4% processing fee
I own a small business and I'm expanding in a couple of weeks. The current credit card company I'm with charges me some pretty high rates but they've been with me since the beginning and took a chance on me. Would it be illegal for me to use another company to process my credit cards for my new location? Can I have more than one credit card processing company?
Generally credit card processors will not allow you to do this, unless you own multiple chains/locations. Quit paying the high charges with your current company, first speak with them about your current rates to see if they will reduce them, if not move on. Your loyalty is commendable, however, this is business and you're in it to make money and that means making smart financial decisions.

Credit card processing fees should be something entirely transparent . Just to think of the number of transactions any merchant caries out daily in that way is something which validates that viewpoint. This company aims to stand as a viable solution when it comes to letting merchants find out everything when it comes to the processing of fees, and realize whether or not they are getting a good deal. The dynamics of this system are as follows: you fill a form with basic information about you and your business, and then an auction is started so that you can see bids from different card processors placed side by side. These have all been pre-screened. If any of the provided...
