And how do you charge people to use a website you design also how do you use credit cards to get people to buy things on your website. How do you set up that sort of system?
use paypal
https://www.paypal.com/
also if you are starting a website to start you are better off selling advertising rather charging people to use your site, and if gets really popular you may later charge people to view it, but the more popular the site the more you can charge for ads, most sites make more money from selling ads than people payin to use it, except for maybe porn, but even porn makes tons of money from ads
The only ones I have found so far require I pay $50 per moth fees plus they take their 2.5% of the sales. Can you suggest any that don't have monthly fees and how I can sign up? I don't mind paying a higher % of my sales.
They all have fees, you need to shop around. I have been shopping recently and here are the best rates I have found so far.
American Express - Payflow Link is a cost of $19.00 per month and you get 500 transactions included for that price.
They have a one time set up fee of $99.00.
If you don't want to go with American Express these were the cheapest after that:
The Bankcard Group, Monthly fee would be 19.95 a month and .10 cents per transaction, and of course whatever your fee's are from your merchant.
First Data Card Service, Monthly fee would be 9.50 a month and .10 cents per transaction plus whatever fees from your merchant.
These are all services that work on the Internet.
Good luck!

I'm developing a website for a jewelry company, and I was just wondering what would be the best way for me to integrate a credit card payment system? Preferably the cheapest method, as well, but money is not an issue. I know there are sites that would allow me to set up a cart system, basically, but I wanted to know what would be the best one. Thanks in advance!

1. Yellow lock symbol in your browser's status bar
Modern web browsers ( a software that is used to surf the internet) are quite safe and respond to safe sites. They do it by embedding a yellow lock in the status bar of your browser whenever they go to a secure website. Always check for this yellow lock in the status bar of your browser.
2. https:// and yellow address bar
Whenever you reach a secure website the url of your website will change from http:// to https:// and along with this, if you are using a latest web browser the color of the status bar will also change to yellow. Some browser show a yellow lock right there in the address bar.
3. Encryption
E-commerce websites, which practice safe shopping experience for their customers use 128 bit encryption and more to transfer the data. This is the latest and most secure way of transmitting your credit card information and personal details over the internet. If a shopping website uses this encryption technology it will say it somewhere on their website. The usual place to check is the footer or header of the website where the logos of such encryptions are displayed prominently.
4. Hacker safe
There are website certification programs which test and certify whether a particular website is hacker safe or not. This testing is done on a regular basis and the dates are displayed along with the certification. How Payment Processing Works
Before being able to accept credit card transactions and other forms of online payments, a merchant will need to set up a merchant account with a bank. A merchant account is the industry term for a business banking relationship whereby you and a bank have arranged to accept credit card payments (usually, a local bank can suffice for this kind of relationship). Setting up a merchant account usually involves the bank understanding your business and working with a third-party processor to arrange a mechanism for accepting payments.
