I've been VERY successful at stopping and staying off marketing mailing list. I need a credit card but want to make sure I don't get added to more lists. I understand they will have privacy policy stating they will not share personal information. Is there anything else I need or look for? Have any suggests on who I should use?
TIA,
nvrau
Since you've been successful at staying off mailing lists, I presume you know this, but just in case...Most banks' privacy policies state that you agree to their sharing your information UNLESS you opt out. So be sure to send back the form with the opt out box checked.
Also, I got my credit card companies to stop calling me and sending me offers for credit protection, travel clubs, and cash advance checks by calling and asking to be put on a "do not solicit" list. It's worked very well.

Opening an e-commerce site on the Internet inmmediately puts a company in the international marketplace. But what if people in some countries are reluctant to use credit cards?
find local 'internet buyers' - those are people who are in that country, they have credit cards and are willing to take the risk (and commission) for purchasing over the internet for their less savvy neighbors.
in the contacts section of your website put their names for each country of your target list. one additional advantage of having trusted local buyers is that you can accept all form of payments including cash.
btw, the #1 reason for people being reluctant to pay with credit cards over e-commerce website is the unprofessional look and bad payment process usability. Improving this alone can boost up your sales.
I want to know if anyone knows how this works. I have always seen people outside on big sporting events and wherever there are a lot of people. If anyone could tell me how they get that job or just how it works that would be awesome!! Thanks!
I agree with Canadian that you should ask one of them how they got the job.
Most times, the credit card companies hire a promotions company to hit the streets and promote their business. The people you see out there typically get paid hourly, plus they receive a bonus for each person they recruit.
Personally I would never work one of these jobs. Of course that's mainly because I don't believe in credit cards and won't promote other people getting them. If you can't pay cash.... then you can't afford it!
If you really want to get in with a promotions company for extra money, ask about it and then see if the company does other events as well. Many times they do, and you may find something even more interesting.

Marketing Of Credit Cards No Longer Allowed On Campus « Credit ...
When the Credit CARD (Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure) Act was drafted and signed into law earlier this year, one of the major concerns was how to keep young consumers from getting themselves into credit card debt trouble.
Studies initiated by Sallie Mae showed that college students were already in deep credit card debt trouble even before they graduated. As a result, the Credit CARD Act carried legislations specifically targeted at eliminating this problem.
For several years, credit card marketing in college campuses all over the nation has been very widespread. Credit card marketing practices were also very aggressive. Credit card companies would setup booths in college campuses and entice college students to sign up with them by luring them with gifts such as t-shirts and even consumer electronics.
