What to do about phone calls from a company who has stolen credit card information?

I had my credit card stolen a few months back, and now some company calls me, up to 5 times a day, wanting to update my credit information. They were given my information, but I did not order from them, it was whoever stole my credit card. I explain this and I will either be given another number to call, and they will say it is taken care of when it's not, or hang up on me. What should I do to make them stop calling and get rid of my information?

I don't answer their calls anymore, I haven't for a while, they're autoblocked, but they keep calling.
They are starting to leave me voice mail that costs me money to check!

Don't talk to them. Just tell them to stop calling and hang up.

This may be a phishing scam. If you talk to them they will keep working on you hoping you will give them more info.

Is there any way my dad can get my credit score or credit card information?

If my dad has my SSN can he find out all my private credit information? Like how many credit cards I have, what I owe, and my score?

In a way yes. But usually the credit bureaus test you for information that you should only know. But if you are living at home, then he may already know that information. You might be able to set up an account that doesn't let him in. You need to contact the credit reporting bureaus.

when puchasing a game, is my credit card information secure?

if i purchase a yahoo game and am being asked for my credit card information, like the credit card number and security code, is my credit information safe and secure with you all.

Yes. THere are like 100 never ending terms-and-conditions/ safety guides. There is no way anyone who uses yahoo could get your credit card number and info.

How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?

There should be another why of verifying someones age without using a credit card for someones birth information. I think asking for a birthdate would be good enough. People start wondering about how come my credit card information is needed.

How do I find out my old credit card information?

I have a credit card in collections (actually in the process of wage garnishment), and want to find out info on the credit card in question, but it is no longer on my credit report (the card is over 10 years old).
Of course the collection agency is no help, is there any way to get it myself, or is getting a lawyer the best/only way to go?
Thank you for any help.

In case this information is needed, the card was originally issued in AZ, but am currently living in IL.

If you need to know the statute of limitations for your state, contact your state’s Attorney General’s office by phone or on the Internet. The statute of limitations will depend on the last time the original lender actually reported something to the credit bureaus. Since you say it's no longer on the credit report, the collection agency probably has an advantage here.

I would definitely contact the original lender by phone or mail and get whatever information you can. Since they sent this to collections you will no longer be able to negotiate directly with them.

Make sure that all communications with the collection agency is done via certified mail. You may attempt to negotiate a "Pay for Delete" to pay off the debt and have the entire tradeline removed from your credit report. Of course since they are garnishing your wages, most likely you are not in that position to negotiate.

Imagine this: You get a call from your credit card company to confirm some unusual activity on your card. But you haven’t gone on any major shopping sprees lately, and you’re certainly not out of the country.

You’ve just been a victim of credit card theft, and now some phantom thief has put his face to your name and is racking up charges.

Credit card theft is not as uncommon as you might think. In 2008 alone, 10 million people were affected (which is a 22 percent increase from 2007). * At least two people close to me have experienced identity theft in the past few years, and I would be surprised if you don’t know someone who has also been affected, as well.
