Hi,
Where can I buy credit card imprinter (the one that only takes imprints of the credit cards) for my business, I dnt wanna buy it from the internet and I've allready tried office Max, depot and staples? So where can I buy it in person?
Mine was $16.00. I called and they sent it to me. Or maybe go in to your bank in person.
Credit card machine backup, manual swipe machine aslo known as an imprinter. Take where the PDQ machine cannot or use as a backup when power goes ...
I signed up as a Avon Independent Rep. yesterday and I was wondering why should I order a Credit Card Imprinter, is it required to accept credit card orders? Also, how do I give the information to AVON or do I give the customer's credit card information to AVON when I place an order??
Well, my Avon book says that credit cards are accepted, so I would assume that it is a requirement.

this would be fore my small business. do you send it to the company because how does it get charged to the account of the credit card holder?
You would need to get a merchant's account with one of the credit card processing services. They give you one of those little boxes attached to a phone or data line where you can swipe or key in a credit card number. This is how it gets charged to the person's credit card.
The manual imprinter is just to prove that the credit card was physically present if you had to manually key in the number. These are for your records if the cardholder protests the charge. File them in a safe place for a reasonable amount of time and then shred them.

I am a resent Avon representative. I can not yet afford to purchase to purchase the imprinter. I am disabled and have trouble writing out all the information on the forms.
Check with your upline (the person who signed you up) or your District Manager - my upline when I called her about this gave me one as she had a bunch of extras. Good luck!

New Project: Digital Knucklebuster
I’ve been doing more craft shows recently, and if there’s one thing I really, really hate about them it’s dealing with a knucklebuster. For the uninitiated, a knucklebuster is the little manual credit card imprinter you use when you don’t have access to an electronic terminal. They use carbonless paper to make a physical imprint of the raised numbers on the card. They’re tedious to use and I hate them.
There are a number of products commercially available which use cell phone service to provide a modern mag-strip reader and processor. The problem with these is that they’re pretty expensive for someone who only does a handful of shows a year. The hardware costs around $1000 and there’s an associated monthly fee. Sometimes there’s even a gateway fee on top of that, so by the time you add in your credit card processor you’re looking at a 6-10% discount plus about $50 a month in fees. Gross.
