Credit Card Complaints

My credit card company (Capital One) has incorrectly charged me late fees. I have tried to discuss with them, but they are inflexible -- basically, it's "do what we say, or we'll ruin your credit". Is there a State (California) or Federal Agency that oversees credit cards companies and handles consumer complaints?

Can anybody tell me who i would need to register a complaint with about my capital 1 credit card (apart from capital1 customer services) as they are harrassing me with 3-8 phone calls a day and have called members of my family liars before hanging up on them.

There are set procedures to go through before you can complain direct to the FSA.
Firstly, if the calls are due to you owing money, then you must address the issue and try to resolve by ways of repayment plans, possibly contacting the Citizens Advice office for exactly how to do this to protect yourself.
If its sales pitches, then you need to lodge a formal complaint in writing to their headoffice, keep copies of all correspondence, keep you complaint clear and concise and only place the truth into the letters, keep a diary of the calls, this would be a good idea in both circumstances anyway, as if you do owe money on the card, then they can be called to task for harrassment, normally chasers for payment are in writing to protect them as well.....

Once you have gone through their own stated complaints procedures and the issue is still not resolved, then you are free to take the matter to the FSA, this is why I say to keep all copies of all correspondence

I was issued a Credit Card by HSBC Bank. The Bank started sending bills statement without even touching the Credit Card. The Credit Card is in my possession. I have made several complaints on Info@hsbc.com, the site given for public grievance but no reply. what to do.

I want to know who and where would I address a letter to if I had complaints about my Chase Credit Card and needed to reach some one other than the customer service reps. Thanks.

Contact Chase ,otherwise there is an office that will deal with this.If Chase won't help you ask for their regulatory agency.If the word national appears after the name( or just N.A.) contact the office below.
