How does an index card, a phone card, and a credit card compare to the golden ratio? PROJECT QUESTION?

hurry!!

The golden ratio is (1+sqrt(5))/2. It is about 1.618. So you could test the length and width of the different objects to see if the length/width has the same ratio.

Credit card compared with exchanging money?

I don't have enough AUD in my bank but I have a credit card, the question is, if I use my credit card in Australia to pay everything, is it cheaper or more expensive, compared with exchaning my country's money into AUD?

I have a Visa card.

The question really puzzled me and is important to me. Thanks.
I want to pay everything by credit card so my family won't have to send money to my bank account. I will go back to my country soon so I want to save the trouble of exchanging money.
I think my bank charges 3%. And what about other fees? Like does visa charges you and some such?

This all depends on your credit cards foreign currency fee structure. Typically the credit card company gets a better exchange rate than you would be able to get in a bank. However, credit cards may charge up to 5% of the purchase as a fee for using the money in a foreign country. They are easy, and leave you free to not have to worry with banks. Just make sure you do not spend so much you cannot pay it off quickly.

Credit card company closed my accounts. Will it hurt my credit score?

I have 2 accounts with balance with BofA. I called them 2 weeks to negotiate the ARP becuase I complained with them that they charged me two high 16%. After they review my account, they closed my account with the reason that I owe too much on credit card compare to my income. I always pay on time on my credit. Now I am stuck with them closing my account. Will their decision hurt my credit score?

Your score might be hurt, especially if the limits had been reduced to the balances, resulting in 100% utilization.
It also looks bad on a manual review of your credit file.

When comparing credit card rewards, how much money is 1 frequent flyer mile worth?

That is, if you card offered 1 mile per dollar and another card offer 5 cents a dollar.

How would you compare the two? What dollar amount would an air mile be roughly equivalent to?
Thanks for your answer Spiffer.

You sound like you know more what you're doing than I do.

I'm not talking about "points." That doesn't mean anything. But a mile and a dollar (or a penny) are real amounts. How do you compare them?

Or, if you'd rather, how do you go about finding the very best rewards on your credit card?

I used to work for Discover card and to earn the miles you would get 1 mile for every dollar spent. Actually on your first $3000 spent you actually earn double miles (2 miles for every dollar spent) Once you accumulate so many you could turn in your "miles" for travel credits or gift cards. I think 10,000 miles= $50. travel credit or gift card. I'm not sure about the specifics on redemption. So, for each dollar spent you will earn 2 miles on your first $3000. After that you will only earn 1 mile per dollar spent. Gosh, I hope that answers your question. It really depends on the card you have because all rewards programs are a little different. :)

  • Prepaid Mastercard and Visa Credit Card Comparison | Million ...

Ust the other day, I received a surprise gift in the mail – a $200 prepaid Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard.  There are not a lot of things that perk up my day more than receiving money in the mail, so as you can imagine, receiving a $200 shopping card was a pleasant way to start my day.

I’ve heard of these prepaid credit cards before, but I’ve never used one.  Upon examining the package, it clearly indicates that there is a $6.95 activation fee.  My first reaction was one of slight agitation as it eats into the balance (I dislike fees).  However, upon further investigation, I soon realized that it’s person who purchases the card that’s responsible for the activation fee when purchasing the gift.
