has anyone worked at a credit card call center tell me your experiences good or bad thanks

Hi, That was my first full time job,way back in 2002.I used to work for an bank that outsourced its work to India.So I used to work in the middle of the night.Its a tough job & it was fun too;.The atmosphere around me was quite an college like one.But to be a top performer, you needed to consistently bring in sales.This meant getting the customer verify their person info, listen to an application ( 7 to 12 mins long) & getting a final affirmative from them.Also you need to be very honest & clear with your pronunciations of legal terms & interest rates to get the call passed by the internal quality checkers.Since at any given day, you'd be making over 100 calls, getting 5 people to buy it shouldn't be too difficult.And the money is pretty good too for some one who is starting out in their career, but a little hard on the throat since you need to be talking constantly.One word of advice , always be ethical in want you do & be a through professional even if someone abuses you,don't loose your cool, have a healthy competition with your peers and don't fret over slack days and am sure you'll do fine.

I was hired for the call center for Macy's/Bloomingdales credit card services and just wanted to know if anyone has worked there before and how did they like it

I worked there for about 3 months in 1999. Like the other person said the pay is decent, but I left because I wanted better hours and not have to work every other weekend. If you don't mind people calling to yell and cuss you out about their bill statement, then you will do just fine! :)

I was thinking of using these people to help consolidate my credit card debt and settle my accounts for less. I have looked them up on the BBB and they have an A rating and there are no complaints. I am still not sure even though all of their paper work looks ok too. I just don't want to get scammed or have any issues...I am a worrier about everything so I want to make sure it is ok. Does anyone have any experience with them or know how much they actually help?
