I just got a credit card from Chevy Chase Bank to start building my credit. I use it to pay for the everyday things I would normally spend cash on. They said I have no annual fee and I was wondering if that's indefinitely or it'll be over in a certain amount of time. Also my limit is only $500 will that increase over time and if so how long and by how much.
Yes, they will increase your limit if you pay responsibly. You'll need months of payments, probably at leas six months, but you can ask them. I've had credit lines double over time, easily. The banks that don't have fees tend to stay that way. For both of these questions, you can ask someone at the bank and they should know -- don't be afraid to ask.

on Amazon.com they are asking for a card number.... PLZ help
Are you kidding me? Should you be on the computer? It's a tiny card, surely you can find the numbers.
If I would have to guess, I would say no...what is there to report...the card is like using money from your savings account! They will NEVER allow you to borrow money that you dont have in your account, so it is not credit

BUT I do not know this for sure so check with your TOS (terms of service ) or whatever it is called and see for sure. If you can't find the answer there, call them...if they do not report it, skip this card since all the fees associated with it are not worth it and would be much less if you just snatched a card off of the shelves of walmart and activated THAT visa
go to www.ripoffreport.com and check on them
I believe that card to be based out of maryland (not that that matters but I was on the aforementioned site above) and was looking in that state for a particular report and believe I found something about it (someone complained about it)
www.ripoffreport.com is a great place to check out any company that you do business with (I am NOT affiliated in anyway with that site)....
So my credit card bill came and has a charge from BETHESDA CHEVY CHASE B(Other) which I can't remember what it is. I tried calling the credit card company and sat on hold forever so thought i would give this a try. I live in chevy chase, md. I can't figure it out since the end got cut off and it is only listed as Other. Help me out
We too live in Montgomery County, did you make a withdrawal from an ATM with that card? If not contact whom you have the CC with, just going to have to deal with the wait. Per Chevy Chase Bank, they are extremely difficult to deal with, I have both personal & business accounts with them and due to their Customer Service I switched.
Just call your CC company and dispute the charge.
