well I belive the chevon card would only work for/at Chervon gas stations and food marts they own
a visa card would be just like any visa credit card

Is it true if you apply and prove you get .20 cent per gallon at chevron/texaco card for 90 days?
I can not find anything close to that promotion, I think someone might be trying to yank your chain.

I am working on cleaning up and re-building my credit. I recently have been pre-approved / approved for a few unsecured credit cards. I came across some info on Chevron that they offer a re-builder card and are quite lenient in their approvals. Has anyone been approved for this card, have any other info.
Also, I have read that having multiple department store credit cards is not too good for your credit, but having one or two can help you rebuild it. Do you know of or suggest any cards that are easier to get approved for? Macy's? Target? Wal-Mart? Please supply credit score at time of approval if possible. Any knowledge on this subject would be gratefully appreciated.

so i got a chevron credit card. you know, you just slide it in and put in gas, but i always wondered if u could actually go into chevron and use the same card to buy a soda or something? anyone tried?

Back to the pump. It barely works. Every time I squeeze the nozzle, it stops, as if I had a full-to-the-brim tank of gas, instead of a totally empty one. I switch the position of the nozzle in every possible way, but the glitch keeps recurring. If I find a real sweet spot, I get the thing pumping for, like, 15 seconds, max.
This goes on for about five minutes, by which time I’ve gotten just more than $20 worth of gas. That’s enough, I decide, and head into the station to get my refund. I say I’d like a receipt for the refunded amount. He says no receipt available—trust me, he says, it’ll show up on your bank statement.
I tell him I’d like a receipt, please. He punches some numbers off the cash register and hands me a receipt. I tell him that’s the wrong instrument to issue the receipt—I need a receipt from the same machine that my credit card had been run through—the machine that’s tapped into my credit card company.
