im 16, and i like credit cards but i dont use them, and i never will, i jus like cards in my wallet, so can someone tell me about if there are any fees to get it or anything, and im looking at getting the new master (gold) card centennial, anyone know anything?
Yes there are fees for some cards. They will charge you for just having them. Do not get any! You will be tempted to use them and if you mess your credit up it will ruin your life in the future! Bad credit means no loans for cars, house, etc. when you are older.
I dont have good credit. So I tried to order a credit card and got First Premier Bank Credit card (Centennial M/C).
I was approved for $250.00 credit...but with there fees it dropped down to $129.00. They want to charge me $7.00 a month. They told me that this would help build my bad credit. But I have to pay 25.00 a month min. and the 7.00 fee....is this worth keeping or should I tell them to cancel my card that I am not interested. I still have the credit card in the envelope. Thanks for your input FOLKS.
credit card decision guy.
don't activate the card and call and cancel the card immediately.
You should never pay a fee to use a credit card. It is not going to help your credit when you won't even be able to use it with the low credit limit and he $7 per month.
I have had many kinds of secured cards, including Tribute/Salute, First Premier, Centennial, Applied Bank, New Millenium, etc...They were all pretty bad and I really didn't do much to improve my credit at all. Anyone know of a reasonable one, esp. with the new credit card reforms in place? Thanks.
all the ones you mention are ok cards to get you started but UltraVX visa is one of the best ones that could help you rebuild credit this credit card reports to all three major credit agencies on a monthly basis and will get you approve go to www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com under bad credit section and look for this card use it for a few months just enough to build some credit then you could apply for a better one and drop this one. Good Luck
t what credit cards are there besides:orchard, first premier, continental fiance, and centennial i got a car loan i am paying off i have one more year i have been good standing with other then that i never had a credit card but when i was 18 and did not understand the concept pay back help!
I just came from a website called www.ripoffreport.com
(free to visit, free to use) and ORCHARD BANK cards were leading the pack in complaints. i would advise against this for reasons to numerous to name here....so my vote would be for whomever else you have an option to go with.
Be warned of the fees
I know for a fact that Orchard has HUGE annual fees and horrible interest rates.
When you look over your offers, in addition to checking the interest rates, be sure to check annual fees, over the limit fees, late fees etc to see which one has the overall best offer for you!
Recession didn't ruin big weddings in the GTA: party experts ...
2009
It cost the Guiffre family of Woodbridge, Ont. $27,000 for a banquet hall that fits up to two hundred people, $5,000 for photographers, $3,000 for a videographer and $1,000 for an antique Rolls Royce rental to carry their daughter from home to her church wedding.
“I’d like to thank Visa, MasterCard and American Express for graciously sponsoring this wonderful day,” joked Joseph Guiffre, a successful wine store owner and father of the bride, in his September 13 speech.
The guests laughed, but wedding experts say his big credit card bills are proof that the recession isn’t a factor for many couples who planned to tie the knot in the GTA this year.
