I got my credit report today and it shows that my total credit amount is $300 and I have $296 available. After further inspection I noticed that only one credit card had reported a credit limit/max balance and that all of my credit cards hadn't been reported since April. Is there an effective way to contact the credit card companies and get them to report accurate and up to date information to the credit bureaus? I feel that this issue is affecting my credit score, so I would like to fix this.
Thanks in advance.
They only report every 6 months. Some do it sooner, but that's rare.

I have noticed on my credit report that my credit card company has reported me late on months that i have paid on time according to our arranged payment plan. At the beginning of my payment plan agreement, my credit card balance was over the limit, and i agreed with them to pay a certain amount for 18 months and they agreed to stop late/overlimit fees and temporarily reduce my APR. So if i have been paying that as agreed why is it still counted on as being late? Also, i paid a hefty amount of it off a few months later so it was below the credit limit and that's when it began being reported as current. Can i dispute the late reports when i was paying as agreed?
Call the credit card company. When you get a representative on the line, ask them about the time periods in question. Have your documentation on hand so you can state when you wrote checks, etc. You may be able to get them to correct errors, but if not you will have to write a letter of dispute to them.
One of my credit cards only reports to TransUnion, and my student loan lender only reports to Equifax and Experian. Can I request each of them to report to all 3 bureaus or do they only follow their company's policy?
Specifically, can I require them to do so?

If I pay my credit card one day after the due date can the credit card company report me to the credit bureaus?
I've heard from a CPA's assistant that they can only report you if you are more then 30 days late----is this true? I live in CA
they won't report you unless you are 30 days late. the actual credit report only displays late payments in 30 day increments.
My company credit card is showing on my personal credit report. As most of you know, the credit card company asks for your social security# when you are issued a company card with your name on it. I am an employee only & have no personal responsibility to the debt. Even though the account is in excellent standing, it makes my credit-to-debt look sky high! How do I get it removed from my personal credit report?

Vegas Woman Battles Credit Card Company
LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas Valley woman said she is fed up with her credit card company because she said it ruined her credit score through no fault of her own.
Laura Barnson contacted FOX5 through THE RANT to warn other customers. She lives in the northwest part of the Valley and said she has been a loyal customer of Bank of America for 10 years. She said she went from having a lot of available credit to being overextended in less than a week. Barnson said she shredded her cards after cancelling two accounts that she said were never late and never a problem, until now. I received a letter in the mail stating that my credit line was going to be reducedWhy I Got a Free Copy of My Credit Report and How You Can Too ...
If you are anything like me and like to make plans now to ensure that your going to be financially secure in the future, you might want to know why I got a free copy of my credit report. Even if you don't have a car or a mortgage yet, it is important to know exactly what is on your credit report. Every major financial decision you are going to make in the future is determined by your credit score.
If you are wondering about your credit the first thing to do is obtain a copy of your free annual credit report. You can get these with TransUnion, Experian and Equifax. All 3 of these companies are obligated by law to give each individual a copy of their report once a year. These free credit reports you get annually are a good insight into your credit,by offering a log of all your accounts and your record of payments you have made in that year. However, they do not give you your 3 digit credit score. This 3 digit credit score is what reputable financial institutions are going to judge you by when you make an application for a loan or credit.
